DIY Valentine’s Day Charm Bracelet

Jan 23, 2014

This bracelet came to mind as I was strolling the aisles of Hobby Lobby. I love just roaming around looking at things and really love it when inspiration hits. I’ve created this tutorial so you too can create this super cute charm bracelet to wear for Valentine’s Day. To make your bracelet you will need to head to the Valentine’s day aisle to get these cute miniature cookie ornaments (on sale right now for 30% off) then head to the jewelry aisle to get this chain bracelet, some silver 2″ head pins, silver jump rings to make wire wrapped bead charms and some silver earring hooks. I already had pink and red raspberry beads as well as iridescent (large & medium) and pink (small) glass beads to make the triple bead charms. If you...

Valentine’s Day Tag

Jan 14, 2014

I’m getting a jump start on creating some Valentine’s day tags and thought I would share this one with you. I think my little Handmade Kewpie Doll fairy looks adorable holding her “I Love You” vintage heart pick. Her wings are altered using white ink and Diamond Stickles. The red iridescent rhinestone trim is gorgeous against the red satin pleat trim. It’s hard to tell in this photo but gosh, I promise it’s so pretty. To top off the tag, I covered the chipboard center heart with silver ink and fine silver German glass glitter. Swoon! And you are in luck if you want to create a tag just like this as I have a limited supply of kits listed in my Etsy Shop. I even include easy to follow step by step instructions...

DIY St. Patrick’s Day Charm

Mar 8, 2013

Remember the Valentine’s Day charms I showed you last month, well you can just as easily create charms for St. Patrick’s Day too. All you need is a little gold and green glitter a few Maya Road Memory Glass Vials and some Tim Holtz Screw Eyes and you’re done.  I filled these St. Patrick’s Day Charms with several different kinds of glitter. I placed gold glass glitter inside the larger glass vial then Martha Stewart Peridot Fine Glitter and Recollections (Michaels Brand) Gold Tinsel Glitter inside the smaller glass vial. I think these would look cute filled with green and gold micro beads as well. Now you have the perfect green accessory to save yourself from those pesky pinchers that are always looking for those who forget to wear green....

Valentine’s Day Charms

Feb 10, 2013

These little charms are so sweet (I know, excuse the pun but I couldn’t help it) that I can hardly stand their cuteness. They are a perfect accent for any sweet Valentine to wear all month long. When Maya Road released their Vintage Glass Memory Vials I was so excited because they are the perfect miniature size for charms of any kind. You get 10 Vintage Glass Memory Vials, five of each size per package. I’m going to make a few using the sand I brought back from Greece and Italy then metal stamp a charm with Mykonos and Bellagio to attach to each vial as a fun memento. I love funky jewelry and plan on having loads of fun with these. The supplies needed needed to make your charms are a package of...

Happy Valentine’s Day

Feb 14, 2012

This sweet Valentine’s Day card was created and sent to me from my Aunt Linda. I was so surprised when I opened the envelope as I don’t think I have one item from her that is handmade, so this is a true treasure. Aunt Linda retired a few years ago and lives in Florida where she fills her days with family, friends and GRANDKIDS, gosh does she ever have fun with her grandkids. But NOW it looks like some of her time is filled creating cards and I must say her choice in stamps is fabulous. And it really made me happy to see she even used GLITTER. Thank you, Aunt Linda. I love you. I hope your day is filled with love....

I was asked to create a few things for Ranger to display at CHA. One of the products they wanted me to create with was their Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE). It is FUN and comes in several different colors. I used their Platinum, Black and Gold to create this wall hanging. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Feb 14, 2010

Little Red Wagon is one of my all time favorite stamp sets by Pink Persimmon. You will find a tag I created using this stamp set on page 66 in my book Delight In The Details. And the above card is a card I created last year (which just happens to be my all time favorite Valentine’s Day card) if it looks familiar to my long time blog readers. If you are new to my blog you can learn how to recreate this card here. I have been busy creating some adorable vintage inspired Easter Ornaments that can be used as either ornaments, tags or accents on a spring garland. This class will be taught in the morning on March 6th at Crop, Paper, Scissors in Waco. And the cool thing is you will...

Did you know…

Jan 9, 2009

Maya Road has a Valentine’s Day release? If you didn’t you need to check out this cute little “Love Ticket” Singleton Stamp. I love that the words are seperate stamps too, so perfect for little sentiments on tiny tags. Then they have this adorable “Forever Postage” Singleton Stamp. I really love this trio… so perfect to accent your Valentine’s or candy wrappers. They also have this wonderful Maya Mist set of Red and Silver… gorgeous colors used separately or in combination. The “Love Keychain” set is so cute and has so many possibilities for projects… no favorite here as I love each one. And last but not least they have this really cute “Key Keychain” set. This set would also be cute as embellishments for a new home or car for those of you...

This cute snowflake is going to be an embellishment for a mini album and believe me more will be made for holiday projects, gift tags etc. Today I posted a little project using one of the “Tis the Season” stamps designed by Sande Krieger and some shrink plastic.
