Studio Makeover

Mar 21, 2013

Oh my goodness… yesterday, I started the big switch a roo. I’m moving my studio from one room of our house to the front much larger room of our house. The front room has the most amazing light and it lasts all day long. But let me tell ya, I cannot wait to have this task completed. When I went to bed last night, I was hoping my fairy godmother would show up and finish it all but nope… she must have been busy helping someone else. Although, I pretty much have as close to a fairy godmother as I’m going to get. My neighbor Jennifer is so awesome. She is the best cheerleader, always positive, everything is fun and when I’m purging out my studio I just walk a few feet and dump...

For The Love of Peeps

Mar 21, 2012

Ahhh, it’s springtime which means flowers blooming, birds tweeting, the leaves on trees are a beautiful spring green AND the shelves in Target, Walgreen’s and Tom Thumb are FILLED with PEEPS! I love Peeps fresh from the package, dried out and a bit chewy or warmed in the microwave does not matter how they are given to me I will eat them. I do find it strange though that I prefer the yellow chicks and pink bunnies over the other colors. The taste is the same but for some reason the yellow chicks and pink bunnies are more appealing to me. Maybe it’s because I always got yellow chicks and pink bunny Peeps as a child every Easter. Since I’m addicted to Pinterest, I did a little search for “Peeps” and look at all the...

Felted Bunnies and a Winner!

Mar 12, 2012

I just had to show you the two bunnies I made for Madelyn and Bellie, this weekend. I felted the bunnies and carrots and Mom made their tutus. You can see I’ve certainly been bitten by the felting bug. This weekend, I also went to a flea market and some antique shops to find items to incorporate with my felting projects. It was a very successful weekend for sure. I found lots of cute vintage items and I cannot wait to start creating with them. I plan on creating altered projects during the day and felting at night then filling up my online shop with all the felting items I obsessively create. It’s a win win for everyone… I get to create like a made woman and you get cute handmade items to...

What a bad blogger I have been…

Feb 9, 2009

As soon as I got home from CHA I hit the ground running. No time to relax for a single second. I guess I will do a little run down of what has been going on in my little neck of the woods… 1st… CHA was a blast. Going with Maya Road is always so much fun. I did loads of make n takes, gave away fun stuff and got to chat with lots of wonderful people. 2nd… As soon as I got home I had to instantly start on a layout for Memory Makers. It is going to be included in an article in the July/August issue. I am not even going to tell you what it looks like as you will know it is mine the second you see it. It uses...

I am going to miss them when they are gone although I have a feeling these will be the very ones that eat up all my spring blooms. I have a feeling we are going to have a love hate relationship from here on out.

This evening I sat in our front room waiting to see if I could see the Momma bunny come out to check on them and yep as the day got darker she got closer to the den.
