Home and Missing the Old Family Homestead
I just returned from my yearly visit to Buckhannon, WV with mom and dad. I always love driving them up to see family. We have the best time together sitting in the car for 19 plus hours and literally laugh until we cry. It’s always a wonderful adventure with these two. But once home I miss seeing them every day and miss enjoying the quietness of sitting on my aunt and uncle’s porch listening to birds as they fly by, listening to a turkey or two and watching the deer eat pears and apples from trees planted by my great great aunts and uncles many many years ago.
