Dear Santa ~ Card

Nov 7, 2013

I wasn’t kidding when I said I LOVED this jingle bell stamp. Here’s another card I made using the Antiquated Collection Winter Girl, Jingles and Jingle Bell stamps. I could cover every single thing I create this holiday season in these jingle bells I love them this much! And attached with foam squares makes them even cuter too!!! I’m heading out to do some junking with mom and dad this weekend and cannot wait to see what treasures we find. Walking around flea markets and antique shops is not only fun but so...

Jingle, Jingle, Jingle

Nov 6, 2013

The Jingles and Jingle Bell stamps from my new Antiquated Collection “Winter Girl” stamp set makes me happier than an elf on a sugar high. The jingle bell is the perfect size for holiday cards, tags, layouts, Project Life and your December Daily album. When stamped with Coffee Archival ink, reminds me of the vintage ones I see in antique shops. I used foam squares to attach mine to the card as I love dimensional cards and wanted them to resemble those found strung together and hung for the holidays. I can almost her them jingling. For DIY holiday projects please check out my etsy shop as I have several mini kits...

Stylish and Fashionable ~ Card

Oct 23, 2013

I love to create mini collages on most all my projects. I get great satisfaction in combining multiple items to create a focal point on cards, tags etc. This card uses stamps from the Antiquated Collection Society Lady & Stylish and Fashionable stamp sets and patterned paper by Pink Paislee. I have a huge crush on their Cottage Farms Collection. I closely trimmed around the brooch and boot using my favorite of all times as in forever, Fiskars Coastal Craft Knife. If you have not tried this craft knife do yourself a favor and give it a try. This knife fits perfectly in my hand. To add a bit more dimension to the card, because I don’t think I can ever have enough dimension, I attached the brooch and boot to the card front...

Society Lady ~ Card

Oct 22, 2013

Today I’m showing you how to create a simple all occasion or notecard using my Antiquated Collection Society Lady stamp set. First using Coffee Archival ink stamp the image of the lady onto cardstock or patterned paper. I used a sheet from the Pink Paislee Cottage Farms line. Next, cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than the front of the blank notecard.  Using a Fiskars scalloped circle punch, punch a scalloped circle into the patterned paper piece in the lower right corner as shown in the photos. Apply Platinum Stickles along the outer edge of the large patterned paper piece as well as along the edge of the punched scallop circle as shown in the photos and let dry. Trim the area around the stamped image so it is a bit larger...

Knick-Knack Paddywack ~ Card

Oct 21, 2013

This little boy riding his scooter image is a stamp from my Antiquated Collection ~ Knick-Knack Paddywack stamp set. It reminds me of my sweet uncle Ed as a child. I can picture him riding his scooter up and down Dog Run as a little boy while growing up in Salem, WV. I can also picture and hear Grammy as she saw uncle Ed shoot down the road from her kitchen window telling him to be careful as she came out of the house wearing her apron. Gosh I miss that house. I have so many wonderful memories spent with my grandparents in their home. I decided to keep this card pretty simple and just cut rectangles using patterned papers from the Pink Paislee ~ Cottage Farms collection then added seam binding, a Maya Road Bingo...

Sweet Little Girls ~ Card

Oct 17, 2013

This card is stamped using my Antiquated Collection ~ Sweet Little Girls stamp set. Can you tell I have a serious crush on Coffee Archival Ink? It is now my go to ink when I need something permanent. It’s the perfect shade of vintage brown. The little girls can be colored using Distress Markers or Copics but again, as I did in yesterday’s post I left them simply stamped on solid cardstock. I love how the stamped images look as if I just cut them out of a vintage magazine. The patterned paper used on this card is Pink Paislee ~ Cottage Farms Collection. I think the modern design mixed with the vintage girls works perfectly...

Sweet Darling ~ Card

Oct 16, 2013

Seam Binding and Archival Ink make for a fabulous combination. I wanted a little something different for the title of my card so I decided to stamp the wording onto seam binding. This effect reminds me of the cute satin tags I’ve seen on baby items in antique shops. And the best thing is this is a beautiful and super simple way to create unique titles for cards, tags and layouts. I mean really could it get any simpler? We are talking, ink & stamp, that’s it! The patterned paper used on this card is by Pink Paislee. It’s their Cottage Farms Collection. What I love so much about this line is that it can look vintage or modern. I tell ya, that Rebecca is so awesomely talented and super sweet. I’m thrilled that...

Stitching Some Time Away

Oct 9, 2013

Before leaving on my epic road trip with mom and dad I started this embroidery piece. I thought it would be a fun project to work on when there was a little bit of down time. Well, I finished it last night and could not wait to show you the results. The aprons remind me of the kind my great great aunts would have worn while cooking in the kitchen of the old homestead. I’m such a vintage girl at heart. And if the aprons look familiar well they are my Antiquated Collection Stamp Set ~ Misses’ Apron. I just lightly stamped the images onto natural muslin using Coffee Archival ink then started stitching...

Sweet Little Girl ~ Hand Stitching

Sep 16, 2013

After having Charlotte Lyons as my “Delightful Arty Crush” last week, she got me inspired to do some embroidery. Well, not having anything to stitch I started looking around my studio for ideas and it came to me that my Antiquated Collection stamp set “Sweet Little Girls” just might work. So using Coffee Archival Ink I stamped a little girl onto some muslin and started stitching away. I’m really happy with how she turned out. The next stamped images I’m going to attempt to embroider are in the Kick-Knack Paddywack stamp set. I think several of these will make really cute embroidered pieces. I’ll keep you posted on how they turn...

And stamped with Archival Coffee Ink… it’s perfection! I tell ya Judi at Pink Persimmon has some serious magic in her hands. I just don’t know how she does it. But now that I’ve created some things using this new stamp set and we’ve made a few adjustments I will share full images with you next week. You’re gonna want this stamp...

This stamp has so many possibilities and not just for the winter months either. I’m going to give it a try and see if I can hand stitch the stamped image on muslin. I think it would look so sweet. Oh how I love these little girls and boys in my Antiquated Collection “Sweet Little Girls” and “Knick-Knack Paddywack” stamp sets. Here color combinations are awesome and I think Kristii is super talented. Just look for yourself. This framed art piece Kristii created will look absolutely adorable displayed in any little girls room. I think it would also be great given as a gift at a baby shower. Giveaway with Pink Persimmon

May 16, 2012

Here is a beautiful tag created by Ronda Palazzari using the new Spring Release Antiquated Collection Mini Silhouettes & Monograms stamp sets. She used the Monogram alphabet letters to spell “FLY” then accented the tag using the frame and border stamps also included in the Mini Silhouettes & Monogram stamp set. For this card Ronda used the new Antiquated Collection ~ Then Comes Baby and Mini Silhouettes & Monograms stamp sets. I LOVE the vintage pram so much. I think it will make the cutest baby shower invitations, cards, tags as well as new baby cards, decor piece or tags. To create the title for the card Ronda stamped the word BABY on shrink paper using the Monograms alphabet. Too cute. And just so you know… Pink Persimmon is giving away a complete set...
