Textile Bird Nest & Collage

Textile Bird Nest

If I were a bird this is just the kind of nest I would want in a tree. The nest is created with vintage textiles, buttons and tiny trinkets and sits inside a vintage ladle. The nest is the focal point for a collage canvas I created using vintage ephemera and wallpaper mom and I peeled from the walls of the old homestead. If you are a regular blog follower you know how much I love the old homestead. Incorporating items from this special place in any of my work always makes me super happy.

The collage canvas is accented with small vintage buttons and additional items like Scrabble tiles, Dresden trim, mulberry leaves, a vintage earring and beads from a broken necklace. The step by step instructions showing how I created the nest and tips on creating the collage canvas can be found in “Delight In The Art of Collage.” An autographed copy can be purchased in my online store or on Amazon.

If you already own a copy, I thank you and will appreciate you taking the time to leave a Customer Review on Amazon. Reviews can be left even if you have not purchased my book from Amazon. As long as you have purchased items from Amazon your review can be left.
