A Little Peek into Delight In The Art of Collage

Jan 7, 2014

Delight in the Art of Collage is a technique and assemblage style book. It includes 40 step by step techniques as well as the extra steps needed to complete each of the mixed media or collage art projects. With the projects in this book, I show you how to use found objects in new and creative ways. For example, some projects incorporate vintage finds from thrift stores, flea markets and antique shops. A vintage platter can become the canvas for a family photo. Tart tins and gelatin molds stacked together make beautiful flowers. In this book you will also create with current products and work with a wide assortment of mediums including textiles, metal, wax, resin, clay and paper. I share lots of unique ways to use each of these mediums. You will learn how to turn empty soda cans into flowers, create silhouettes from family photos and beautiful butterflies from resin paper. My goal with this book is to inspire your creative process from start to finish by encouraging you to take a fresh look at items, to see beyond their original purpose. This kind of discovery is a fun part of the creative journey.

I just stocked my store with books which means you can now purchase an autographed copy of Delight In The Art of Collage as well as Delight In The Seasons & Delight In The Details and I even have a combo pack available for my Delight Trilogy.
