Delight In The Art of Collage ~ Preview

Nov 18, 2013

Front & Back Covers Friday, was an amazing mail day. I received a copy of my latest book “Delight In The Art of Collage”. So for the moment please just humor me and take a look at how gorgeous each chapter looks. I worked so hard on this book and it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an advanced crafter there is a little bit of everything for everyone. And of course it has that vintage feel I love so much.

I’m so proud of this book I can hardly stand the wait for you all to see it for yourselves. It will be released in January and is currently available through pre-order on Amazon. Introduction I love how the designer Amanda Kleiman created a collage of my projects for the Introduction and each chapter. The photographers, Christine Polomsky and Kris Kandler did an amazing job. The photographs look 3 dimensional. Textiles Chapter One ~ Textiles is filled with projects using chenille bedspread strips, wool roving, muslin, vintage quilt pieces, fabric scraps and more. Metal Chapter Two ~ Metal is filled with projects using wire, copper, foil tape & sheets, soda cans, vintage spoons, tart tins, thimbles and more. Wax, Resin, Clay Chapter Three ~ Wax, Resin & Clay is filled with projects using beeswax, UTEE, Polymer clay, resin, jewelry clay and more. Paper Chapter Four ~ Paper is filled with projects using vintage sheet music, ledger paper, book pages, sewing patterns, resin paper and more.

I hope you like what you see and want to own a copy of Delight In The Art of Collage for yourself. As with Delight In The Details and Delight In The Seasons, I’ve stepped out the featured techniques but the difference with Delight In The Art of Collage is, I also explain how to complete the entire project. How awesome is that!
