Oak Leaves Cluster…

Aug 26, 2009

Can you tell fall is heavy on my mind? I cannot wait for some cooler weather. But for now it looks like another hot day here in Texas. I have no idea how these High School football players practice in 100 degree temps… nuts I tell ya. Anyway on to my post and more thoughts of fall. As you can see I am really loving my new Cuttlebug Leaf Dies and thought I would show you the cute cluster of leaves I created using the oak leaf die. This literally took me 15 min. to create from start to finish. And the tiny Maya Road Hanging Chandelier Beads are a great accent for acorns. They catch the light beautifully and will look great on a candlelit table setting. This leaf cluster would look really...

Simple Leaf Pick Tutorial…

Aug 24, 2009

Here is a super simple leaf pick tutorial. As most of you know I love creating accents for projects out of book pages. While looking around our local Joann Craft Store this weekend I found lots of their Cuttlebug dies on clearance and I was thrilled when I found this leaf set. I plan on making a nice cluster of oak leaves to accent some Thanksgiving projects. But first I had to try out the Maple Leaf. Supplies Used: Cuttlebug Die Cutting Machine Cuttlebug Leaf Set Die Book Page 24 Gauge Wire Wire Cutters Aleene’s Paper Glaze Stickles — Platinum Instructions: Using your Cuttlebug and the Maple Leaf Die, cut two leaves out of a book page Using Aleene’s Paper Glaze apply adhesive (I like this adhesive as it will not buckle your paper)...

Two for one…

Aug 18, 2009

While I was working on a project for my Halloween/Fall/Thanksgiving combo online workshop… (yes there will be lots of fun downloads in this workshop for all) I was getting ready to open up a pack of Jenni Bowlin’s new Halloween Bingo Cards and noticed she shows a smaller version of each Bingo Card on the back. Well those of you that know me know I love anything mini and I tell ya these little ones are perfect for tags, enclosure cards, or any mini project. And if you have a little girl that loves to play with Barbie dolls well these would even be perfect for Barbie. They are too cute. I have looked at the back of Jenni’s Bingo Cards for as long as she has had these but never had the Ah...

Forced Creative Vacation…

Aug 14, 2009

For the past few weeks I have had back spasms which has caused me to take a forced creative vacation. Which by the way is complete and total torture for me. But sitting and creating for any length of time is just too painful. Since I really love sharing tutorials on my blog and having the issue of not being able to sit upright for too long a period this has not allowed much blog time. And since I am working on my All Hallows Eve online workshop my sitting time is very limited. So what I plan on doing for the next several weeks is share some tips and products I really love. I get emails sent to me all the time asking what type of tools I use and prefer for certain...
