Mar 16, 2009

My “Hippity Hop Easter Workshop” is ready. I have had so many of you email asking if I was going to do an Easter workshop and honestly I didn’t think I would have the time to put one together, but I decided to do a mini workshop. The cost for this mini workshop is $9.95. This workshop includes tutorials to recreate 3 adorable projects and 4 beautifully detailed cards. I will have templates available for download to help recreate the cards. As always, each project and card tutorial includes color photos and step-by-step instructions. I will post a project to the Easter Workshop every other day starting March 21st and leave the workshop open until April 18th.  You can bet there will be a few Maya Road giveaways for those lucky people selected from...

Ever wonder how I work…

Mar 12, 2009

well I work best in small tight areas as you can see from this photo. This workspace is about 10 x 6 and I mean inches not feet. I made a project today in this teeny tiny space. Tomorrow I hope to work in at least a 12 x 12 inch space. To the right of this tight little space is this big mess but you can see some of my favorite embellishments and accents for projects… Stickles, Pearls, Scallop Ric Rac, Fiskars Tools, Cream Embroidery Floss, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool (seriously the best out there), Plastic Spoon for Glittering, Aleene’s Paper Glaze, Collage Pauge, Old Book Page etc. Wish I could show you the project I made using these items… I guess you will have to wait until Oh mid February of next...

Some explaining to do…

Mar 5, 2009

Right now if there were a contest for the worst blogger I would win hands down. But I really do have good reasons… The entire week of Feb. 16th I was swamped with book projects and last minute details for my upcoming photo shoot in Cincinnati, OH.  So that week was a total blur of creative frenziness. Feb. 22nd I flew to Cincinnati to work with Christine Polomsky the photographer for F & W Publications. Talk about a wonderful experience. If you have a book idea I 100% recommend you send a proposal to this company. Everyone I came in contact with was wonderful and on top of every last detail. Which you all knowing how detail oriented I am made me so happy. Feb. 23rd I spent all day in the studio photographing...
