Featured Artist ~ Melissa Phillips

Feb 24, 2012

I love Melissa Phillips, not only is she super talented she is super sweet too! I was thrilled when I saw what she created using the Society Lady stamp set from my Antiquated Collection. Her “Enjoy” card is simply gorgeous! And now look at the adorable heart pillow Melissa created. I love the tag she made using the Society Lady stamp. This tag looks so dreamy and accents her pillow perfectly. Next week, I will show you a few more items Melissa created using the Antiquated Collection stamp sets. You are going to love them! Now I’m off to load up my car and head down to Waxahachie for some fun at The Crafty Scrapper. Thanks for Pinning…

Sep 27, 2011

I just want to give a heartfelt thank you to those of you who take the time to pin my projects on Pinterest. It always makes me so surprised and happy when I’m surfing Pinterest and come across one of my projects. If you are a follower you will see that I created a board to say, “Thanks!” As I come across my pinned projects I post them to my “Thanks For Pinning My Projects” board. If you are new to Pinterest you can see my most recent pins on the right side column of my blog. I must say it is amazing how fast time flies when I’m surfing and pinning. I’m trying to avoid it this week as I need to finish up some Christmas ornament projects I’m going to teach at...

Ice Cream & Snow Cone Money Holder

Jun 3, 2011

What a fun way to save all the change us moms find in the washer and dryer when doing the family laundry. This little box can hold the discovered nickels, pennies, dimes and occasional dollar bills found for fun summer treats from the Ice Cream Man or in our town the Snow Cone Lady. The patterned paper, alphas, paint and ink used to create this project are from the Cocoa Daisy “Cherry Soda” June Main Kit, “Fruit Smoothie“, “Chocolate Malt” and “June Coordinating Paint and Ink” Add On Kits. This evening, I’ll be teaching my “Quilted Memories” class at The Crafty Scrapper. If you’re signed up for the class please check her web site for the list of supplies you need to bring. Those of you that are in town visiting for GASC should come...

Oct 3, 2010

Artistic Journey was AWESOME! I had so much fun meeting and creating with everyone and cannot wait to do this again… next year, right Caroline? Since I have so many photos to post I will not be too wordy and let the photos speak for themselves. Enjoy! Downtown Waxahachie and The Crafty Scrapper. Some of the attendees created tags prior to the event that were showcased in the storefront window… Laura was busy checking everyone in while Katie and Carolyn chatted with a few of the guests. Everyone got a goody bag filled with AWESOME products. Mary Lou and Kerri were always super busy at the register. Returning from having a group photo taken. Friday evening was filled with Make n Takes. Once everyone finished each station they had an adorable mini album to...

Artistic Journey

Sep 30, 2010

I have been so excited for Artistic Journey to begin and can’t believe it is finally here. Tomorrow, I head down to Waxahachie to spend three days with a wonderful group of ladies at The Crafty Scrapper. These ladies are coming from all over ready to create, make new friends, shop and have fun. Friday night will be filled with make n takes and lots of laughter. Then Saturday and Sunday, I will be teaching my shadow box class along with Katie Watson and Aubrey Rives. Katie created an adorable recipe card holder and Aubrey created a super fun and whimsical mini album. I cannot wait to see these two as I only get to see them at CHA. Laura my online vintage buddy and CHA pal will be there too as well as...

This weekend I stayed in Waxahachie with some of the Maya Road girls… Caroline, Jessica, Aubrey and Wendy. I gotta tell you, Wendy taught some of the most inspiring classes all day Saturday and all day Sunday at the Crafty Scrapper. If you ever see that Wendy Vecchi is coming to a store near you I say run and sign up as fast as you can. You do NOT want to miss any of her classes. Wendy is the first person I have ever taken a class from and I want more. She taught me so many great techniques that I plan on carrying over into future projects. Thanks Wendy for all the inspiration. This little album is one I created in Wendy’s Fragments class. Wendy has you bring scraps of paper, rubons and...
