A group of us went to lunch with Jenni Bowlin and I was one of them… certainly no surprise to you as it is no secret that I love and adore Jenni and her products. The restaurant Tricia took us to was a really sweet restaurant that was seaside. The view was awesome. the colorful flags were so pretty as we walked into the restaurant their menu felt just like a book… I had to keep reminding me with what Ali says… we do not steal or borrow we gather…. I so wanted to run out with this menu inside the restaurant… loved the way they folded the napkins to look like party hats the view was gorgeous as you could see the sea and all the white buildings of Mykonos Yes I ate...

Make-n-Takes and Mini Workshop Project

Here are some sneak peeks of the items I will be teaching during the Cocoa Daisy Destinations Mykonos 2010 event. has come my way… I will be doing a mini workshop and make-n-takes at Cocoa Daisy Destinations Mykonos 2010. I am so super excited about this opportunity. It is going to be so much fun. Thanks Tricia for the invite! And I thought I would share one of my book projects with you. This project has all kinds of stuff going on… hand stitching, die cutting, alcohol inks and glitter. Velvet Flower Tutorial…

Here is the wall hanging I created with scraps kept from my Cocoa Daisy June Kit. I provided Tricia with a PDF of all the templates I created in this piece. If you are a subscriber she will have this available for download. The mini velvet flowers in this piece are super simple to create. All you need is scallop velvet trim (provided in the June Kit) , scissors, a sewing needle, 3 strands of embroidery floss, adhesive and a rhinestone. Cut the trim so you have 9 scallops (approximately 3.25″) thread 3 strands of embroidery floss into a sewing needle and begin gathering at one end. Continue to gather the trim along the sewing needle all the way to the opposite end of the trim Pull the embroidery floss together tightly until you have...
