Society Lady ~ Card

Oct 22, 2013

Today I’m showing you how to create a simple all occasion or notecard using my Antiquated Collection Society Lady stamp set. First using Coffee Archival ink stamp the image of the lady onto cardstock or patterned paper. I used a sheet from the Pink Paislee Cottage Farms line. Next, cut a piece of patterned paper slightly smaller than the front of the blank notecard.  Using a Fiskars scalloped circle punch, punch a scalloped circle into the patterned paper piece in the lower right corner as shown in the photos. Apply Platinum Stickles along the outer edge of the large patterned paper piece as well as along the edge of the punched scallop circle as shown in the photos and let dry. Trim the area around the stamped image so it is a bit larger...

Sweet Little Girls ~ Card

Oct 17, 2013

This card is stamped using my Antiquated Collection ~ Sweet Little Girls stamp set. Can you tell I have a serious crush on Coffee Archival Ink? It is now my go to ink when I need something permanent. It’s the perfect shade of vintage brown. The little girls can be colored using Distress Markers or Copics but again, as I did in yesterday’s post I left them simply stamped on solid cardstock. I love how the stamped images look as if I just cut them out of a vintage magazine. The patterned paper used on this card is Pink Paislee ~ Cottage Farms Collection. I think the modern design mixed with the vintage girls works perfectly...

May 9, 2013

Some of you  might have seen this post earlier in the week and wondered what in the world is she doing… well I’ve always said I’m not a techy kinda girl. I had the wrong post date so it posted before I had the blog post finished. This is one of the classes I taught at Crop & Create. It has so many techniques and ideas that can transfer on to other different projects. The decoupaged Pink Paislee Coffee Filters on the roof can easily be placed onto a canvas,  mini album, paper mache box, wooden plaque and lots of other items. The Pink Paislee Mask and Gesso Technique can be placed on the projects I just listed as well as tags. And oh goodness you can do so many cute things with the...

Smile Mini Canvas

Apr 19, 2013

Oh goodness I gotta share some awesome tips with you today. I painted the sides of this mini canvas using Adirondack Shell Pink, once dry I found the pink was just a tad bit too pink. So I lightly applied ColorBox Creamy Brown Chalk Ink over the paint and it created the most BEAUTIFUL shade of  pink which just so happened to match the pink in the Pink Paislee Cottage Farms background paper perfectly. The next tip is if you apply ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink in Rose Coral on top of the Maya Road Mixed Blossom Mini Chipboard pieces then lightly apply Maya Road Pure White Pigment on top you create another gorgeous shade of pink that works BEAUTIFULLY with the Pink Paislee Cottage Farms patterned paper line. I just love discovering and sharing...

In my “Creatively Cute Cards” Class you will create four beautiful cards using the new paper line Modern Mercantile by Lisa Dickinson that she designed for Jenni Bowlin Studio. I LOVE the colors and patterns of this awesome new line. You will accent each card with Maya Road, Doodlebug and Jenni Bowlin embellishments and of course use awesome Ranger products like Distress Ink and Diamond Stickles to give your cards that added awesomeness. Maya Road Sneak Peek ~ Wood Bird Cages

Jan 8, 2013

In between book projects, I squeezed in a little creative time to make some small CHA projects for Maya Road. I must say, I’m LOVING the new Wood Bird Cages (page 1 in the catalog) and 4″ x 6″ Card Sentiment Words Stamp Set (page 4 in the catalog). This tag was fun and pretty quick to create. I started with an Inkssentials #8 Manila Tag and covered it with Pink Paislee patterned paper. I then used the Maya Road Ornate Feathered Friends 4″ x 6″ stamp set as a background stamp (page 15 in the catalog). I then machine stitched a straight stitch all around the inside edge of the tag and distressed and inked the edges. Tip: I leave the stamps on the clear sheet as the come when purchased then ink the stamps with...

Vintage Photo Decor

Aug 16, 2011

Hi Everyone! Rebecca Cross here from Pink Paislee with a fun and super easy home decor idea for the upcoming halloween season.  Most of us have vintage photos tucked away in a keepsake box or maybe even in an album but I seriously doubt you would want to “embellish them” or cut them up in order to use them for decoration purposes right?  And that is where the internet comes in handy…or maybe even your local flea market or antique store because it is a lot easier to have fun with an old time family photos if they don’t belong to anyone in your family! I recently picked up a free standing wrought iron photo display holder and I have plans to feature vintage photos in it to create a Halloween Centerpiece.  I want...

Modern Vintage Never Looked So Vogue

Aug 9, 2011

Good Morning Bloggers!  My name is Lynn Ghahary and I am representing Pink Paislee today!  When Lisa asked us to jump in and participate on her blog this week we were thrilled to say YES! As you know Pink Paislee just released a Vintage Sewing / Textile inspired collection called Vintage Vogue during the Summer CHA Show in Chicago and today we want to show you a fun letter tray project that features this collection. I snapped these photos of my brother and his wife along with my adorable little niece Gia this past spring.  As soon as I saw the gorgeous Vintage Vogue collection by Pink Paislee I just knew this collection and these photos would be perfect together!  I decided to create an altered photo tray and plan on giving it to...
