Not being able to share…

October7

is the PITS! Lately I have been working on several projects and I cannot share any of them just yet. This is torture for me. I love to share my projects as soon as I finish. But last night I did have fun making my own embellishment for a project and I can share this so here goes… I have never used a die cutting system. I always create my own templates, trace them onto paper, cut them out and go from there. I tell ya I am a very old fashioned kinda girl when it comes to stuff like this not sure why… most likely it is because I am too picky and have to have everything just so so. Anyway, last night I decided to play with my Big Shot Die Cutting System I received in my MMM prize package. Well let me just tell you now my head is swirling with ideas. That thing is so much fun. I used some shrink plastic by JudiKins, a Sizzix Sizzlits Snowflake #2 Die, Ranger Stickles in Star Dust and a rhinestone. This cute snowflake is going to be an embellishment for a mini album and believe me more will be made for holiday projects, gift tags etc.

Embellished Shrink Plastic Snowflake

Last week was a great publication week. My Little Foof House, Family Message Board and Valentine’s Day Wall Hanging will all be in the Feb./Mar. issue of Paper Trends.

Three layouts… Santa Baby, Yep… It’s March and Our Tree will be in the Winter issue of Scrapbooking and Beyond.

Don’t forget to check out the MMM Blog. You will find a lot of great tips, ideas and layouts posted almost everyday. Today I posted a little project using one of the “Tis the Season” stamps designed by Sande Krieger and some shrink plastic.

FYI… I am starting to fill my teaching calendar for 2008. If you would like me to come and teach at your local scrapbook store or retreat send me an e-mail and I will see if a class can be scheduled.

Maya Road Sneak Peek… #4

July12

I thought I would update my blog tonight since I will be going to play with this sweet little boy tomorrow morning. Gosh I love me some Noah time. He is so darn cute… just look at this face.

Baby Noah who isn’t much of a baby anymore!

His Mommy Caroline and Auntie Deb are at full throttle right now. So while his Mommy works we get to play. Those of you that will be attending CHA are going to love all the projects that will be displayed in the booth… LOADS and LOADS and LOADS of eye candy. If you stop by make sure to say hi! Here is part of the CHA-S catalog if you want to take a look at some of the great stuff coming out. Caroline and Deb are adding items daily.

Now for sneak peek #4… this is the new 3 x 3 accordion album. I LOVE this size and this little project can be completed in an evening. Which is pretty good for me, I can’t remember when I finished one that fast. The scallop frame, royalty crown and microchip hearts are also being released at CHA-S. The paper line is “Beloved” by Danelle Johnson. I love the pink and black combination and can’t seem to get enough of this paper. The photos inside the album are of my sweet, adorable little niece Isabella Kate. I get to see her Aug. 2 and believe me I am counting the days.

Images removed for publication. This project will be in the Dec/Jan 2008 issue of Paper Trends.
Oh and the quote inside is the cutest! My niece Madelyn (4 yrs. old) now known as the “Big Sister” of the house (never mind that Amanda “THE BIG SISTER” will turn 16 in just a few days) said this the day Isabella Kate came home.

Madelyn was holding Isabella Kate for the first time and Isabella Kate’s bow fell out. Well Madelyn says to her Daddy… “Daddy put her bow back in… she can’t be a Princess without her bow.” I think this is the cutest quote ever and will use it on many more projects I’m sure.

Maya Road Sneak Peek… Twill

January19

Look at all the wonderful new twills Maya Road will be debuting at CHA. They are part of the Journey East Collection and come in red, blue, pink, brown and lilac. They also have clear stamps that match the patterns. Talk about WONDERFUL… Maya Road now has clear stamps! You are going to want every single one of them… believe me!
MR Twills

Here is a little project I created last night using some of their clear stamps and twills. This was so fun to create. The big heart is a page from their heart binder and the 2 smaller hearts are from their heart mini album. The chipboard motif is also by Maya Road. I LOVE the new chipboard that is coming out.

Images removed for publication. This project will be in the Feb/Mar 2008 issue of Paper Trends.

I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks. Off to finish up my heart binder and box. I will be taking this with me to CHA. I just could not get it finished in time to mail it today.

Have a wonderful day.

Here is a magnetic frame (measures approx. 5 x 7 inches) I altered a few months ago using BasicGrey Blitzen papers, rub ons and chipboard as well as Go West Studios products. This frame was found in the $1 section of Target. I tell you that little area is full of inspiration. I am addicted to it!

I am just about finished with my altered puzzle and will share a photo soon. Right now, I am working on an Ad Challenge for Cocoa Daisy today as well as boxing up my altered Jars using the Maya Road Blossom II chipboard to send to Paper Trends. They will be in their April/May issue. Pretty happy about that. I really love working with Paper Trends. They take such great care of your projects and send you some awesome products as well as 2 copies of the idea book your projects are published in. Hope you all have a great day and don’t forget to leave your comments so you can be entered to win a RAK. You have until Dec. 1. I will put your name in for each comment you leave.
