Here is a lay­out I did in 2005 doc­u­ment­ing Ans­ley going to her first “Dad­dy Daugh­ter Dance.” This lay­out actu­al­ly got picked up for pub­li­ca­tion and can be found in the JoAnn ScrapEssen­tials Idea Book Vol. 2. If you have this idea book this lay­out is fea­tured on page 51. You can see I still love to use glossy accents and iri­des­cent glit­ter. That is what I used to accent the jour­nal­ing strips. Still love the jour­nal­ing strip look. I still accent the edges of my paper with brown ink. Still love to use rib­bon, but­tons and rhine­stones. Don’t use brads all that much any­more. Still love to cre­ate my own embell­ish­ments. Love using silk flow­ers but now would dis­tress them with ink or paint and cov­er them in crys­tal coarse glit­ter. I cre­at­ed...

Some Family Fun…

Hi! Hope every­one had a great week! So hap­py to be back here again to share with you some of the new vin­tage-inspired, Vin­tage Street Mar­ket prod­ucts. This col­lec­tion of fun paper dolls is from our Fam­i­ly Fun line, which includes great paper doll die cuts for embell­ish­ing, and coor­di­nat­ing 12x12 card­stock. One thing I espe­cial­ly love about our own prod­ucts is  how well they coor­di­nate with authen­tic vin­tage items, which leads me to the first project I’d like to share today… Remem­ber these ice cream cups from child­hood? I remem­ber every day at school dur­ing lunch, we would get to choose a fla­vor of ice cream, and would be giv­en one of these cups and a lit­tle wood­en spoon. We were all so eager to eat the ice cream the threat of splin­ters...

It is a ban­ner for my new niece that is due the end of May. I cre­at­ed it using the Maya Road blos­soms chip­board­coast­ers, chip­board let­ters (New York low­er­case) , foun­da­tions jour­nal­ing stamps, crushed vel­vet rib­bons and vel­vet ric rac.
