Noel…

Oct 29, 2009

And for you, SURPRISE another Christmas project. I have a feeling this year Old Fashioned Mica Snowflakes are going to be on everything! For the time being this little gem will sit in my curio cabinet until I can find it’s perfect little holiday spot.  I love how the light catches the glitter, tinsel and mica snowflakes… it is so sparkly. Tomorrow, I will share a little project that will make the cutest holiday swap gift. Instructions: First pull out the cord hanger on the ornament as you will not need it. Paint a cube shaped paper mache ornament using a Manila colored acrylic paint. Once dry ink lightly the edges using ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink in Creamy Brown. While the ornament is drying bleach three different sized Bottle Brush trees (4.5″, 3.5″, 2.5″)...

Oct 10, 2009

Here is a simple ornament/tag you can create for your home or attach to or give as a gift. The instructions are pretty simple. All you need to do is cover the front of a 4″ Maya Road circle coaster album page with an old book page (poke a hole for your hanger using the back as your guide), paint the back and edges of the 4″ Maya Road circle coaster album page and Maya Road Jonathan Alphas using black acrylic paint. Next cover the letters in black glitter. Create three crepe paper rosettes out of Black, Orange and White crepe paper streamers. Accent the edges of the crepe paper rosettes using Golden Rod Stickles. Now using a liquid adhesive begin attaching and stacking your crepe paper rosettes onto the front of the 4″...

Happy Holidays…

Dec 23, 2008

Gosh… what a bad blogger I have been as of late. I am under a big book deadline so I have been creating like a mad woman. So much so I have thrown out my back. Oh do I ever have empathy for those of you that suffer from chronic back pain. Since I don’t have any projects to share with you right now (which is torture as I have a huge stack of completed items) I thought I would share a few items I received in the mail last week. Terri who participated in my 12 Days of Christmas online Workshop sent me these three beautiful tags and this wonderfully altered paper star. Talk about a great mail day… I love these and will certainly incorporate them in my holiday decor every year....
