EnviroTex Resin Charm Trio

Feb 5, 2013

I just realized I forgot to show you the Charm Trio I created for my oldest niece Amanda. If you are still on the fence about trying resin stop thinking about it and DO IT NOW! It is so much fun and EnviroTex Resin is so easy to use. So here is pretty much what I did for each charm. Starting from Top to Bottom. Charm One has a layer of Martha Stewart Brownstone glitter and a Making Memories Glitter Alpha Sticker. Charm Two has a punched circle of sheet music that is sealed using Nunn Design Glue. After about three applications of glue which was dried completely in between applications I attached a Nunn Design Transfer Decal on top of the sheet music as instructed on the packaging. I love that the decals...

Memory Makers Blog Bounce

Jul 12, 2011

It’s time again for another Memory Makers Blog Bounce. The theme this month is “Vacation.” I know I try to keep in touch with friends when I travel by sending them a little note or postcard from different places. What about you? I remember getting postcards from my grandmother and aunt when they traveled. It was always so exciting to see where they were traveling to and from. I created this card using a new stamp set by Maya Road called “Love Banner” it includes 3 triangle, 3 pennant shaped banner pieces, an alphabet set and 3 additional banner embellishment stamps. You get 30 pieces in all. And look at these… I LOVE their new “Vintage Paper Posies”. You can ink, mist, glitter and alter these anyway you want. These are certainly going to...

Ranger Designer Challenge

Feb 14, 2011

I was thrilled when Ranger asked if I would be interested in creating a canvas for their Designer Challenge. I could not reply back fast enough with a very excited yes! They sent each designer a box filled with a 12 x 12 frame, Perfect Pearls and Perfect Pearl Mists and told us to create something that reflected our style. Well I knew mine had to include book pages, Platinum Stickles and glitter and once I got started I could not stop. I used loads of Ranger product and when you look at the list below you’ll realize I’m not kidding. It was so much fun to sit and just create whatever came to mind. I cut the grungepaper into squares, embossed them using my cuttlebug then sewed them all together with a zigzag...

Noel Tag

Dec 9, 2010

Today, I decided to create a tag using some of my favorite things. It’s fun gathering supplies when all the while you have no clue what it is you’re going to create. I gathered and gathered (Vintage Images, Cream Felt, Maya Road Chipboard Snowflakes, Fine Silver German Glass Glitter, Sisal Trees a.k.a. bottle brush trees, Self Adhesive Pearls, Mica, Diamond & Platinum Stickles, Tiny Alphas and Fiskars Punches) until my work area was filled with inspiring products. In the end this is what I created. It will be a gift tag for someone’s gift this Christmas. The Fiskars Extra Large Postage Stamp Squeeze Punch is a great punch. I really like the size the punched image creates and if you outline the images with Platinum Stickles and accent them with Diamond Stickles it makes...

A Happy Christmas…

Oct 28, 2009

Yes it looks as though I skipped Halloween and Thanksgiving all together and went straight to Christmas. Honestly this was not my intention it just kinda happened… I guess it comes as no surprise that I was the kid ready to pull the Christmas tree out of the attic the second I saw any sign of Christmas in the stores. Mom and I always had some kind of Christmas craft going on each year. I still have the stuffed fabric ornaments we made one year… once we made lots of cute ornaments using a simple salt and flour dough mixture then painted and coated them in varnish… not sure what happened to those but I’m sure it had something to do with Southeast Texas humidity. Anyway, I could go on and on telling you...

My Little Book of Thoughts…

May 12, 2009

I am not much of a journal keeper but I love having something small to jot down a thought or two or make a note so I don’t forget a moment of inspiration or a nice quote. I think it is nice to have a little something to keep my thoughts noted in that I can carry along. So this is what I decided to create using the Book Page Flower from last weeks tutorials. My very own “Little Book of Thoughts”.  And I guess you can tell I am really into gold and black paint with crackling medium. Just love the look so much. Supplies Needed: Small Journal (approx. 3″ x 4″) Adirondack Metallics Acrylic Paints (Gold) DecoArt Crackling Medium (Weathered Wood) Making Memories Acrylic Paint (Asphalt) Book Page Flower ColorBox Fluid Chalk...

Memory Makers…

Oct 16, 2008

Here is the last layout I did during my Memory Makers Masters term. It is in their current Nov. Dec. issue. I love these papers by Making Memories and the photos well, they are two of my favorites. But thanks to my sister I need to take another group photo because we need to include Isabella Kate. Now about the other big thing that is keeping me pretty busy and is one of the reasons my blog lacks new stuff off and on… my book. I am so happy with all the things I have created, which is a big thing for me because usually I can always find something I don’t like about everything I’ve made…. I just have 73 more projects to go. Hopefully after today it will be 72 and by...

Christmas Cards…
