EnviroTex Resin Button Charm

Feb 8, 2013

I love my “Vintage Button Bracelet” so much I decided to create a matching charm to wear on a necklace. Using Nunn Design Glue I attached a piece of vintage ledger paper inside the bezel. I only put one coat of glue on top of the ledger paper since just a bit was going to be seen. If the resin produced stain marks on my paper I was not going to worry about it. But I’m happy to say one layer of glue did the trick. But I’m not going to push my luck with just one coat if I want more of the paper showing. I will do 2 or 3 glue applications because you know how Murphy’s Law works… Once the glue dried I placed a vintage button that was slightly smaller than...

Vintage Button Bracelet

Feb 7, 2013

This bracelet is seriously the easiest bracelet I’ve ever created. I started with the Patera Bracelet Small Circle by Nunn Design for the base of my bracelet. I love the aged look of all the Nunn Design items and the quality is beyond awesome. First I selected 7 vintage shell buttons that fit nicely and securely inside each of the bezels of the bracelet. I did not want any space showing between the button and the bezel so I made sure these buttons were almost an exact fit. Using E6000 as my adhesive, I applied a small amount of adhesive inside each bezel of the bracelet then pressed a vintage shell button on top of the E6000. Next I selected 7 additional shell buttons that were slightly smaller than the others. I attached these to the...

EnviroTex Resin Charm Trio

Feb 5, 2013

I just realized I forgot to show you the Charm Trio I created for my oldest niece Amanda. If you are still on the fence about trying resin stop thinking about it and DO IT NOW! It is so much fun and EnviroTex Resin is so easy to use. So here is pretty much what I did for each charm. Starting from Top to Bottom. Charm One has a layer of Martha Stewart Brownstone glitter and a Making Memories Glitter Alpha Sticker. Charm Two has a punched circle of sheet music that is sealed using Nunn Design Glue. After about three applications of glue which was dried completely in between applications I attached a Nunn Design Transfer Decal on top of the sheet music as instructed on the packaging. I love that the decals...

EnviroTex Memento Key Chain

Jan 4, 2013

Here is another keychain I created as a gift for Christmas. This one was for my mom. I started by cutting a piece of wallpaper from the old homestead that mom and I peeled off the wall one summer. I then placed the wallpaper piece inside the heart bezel. Using a paintbrush I covered the wallpaper with three coats of Nunn Designs Glue allowing the glue to dry thoroughly between coats. I then mixed a small batch of EnviroTex Resin and filled the bezel halfway. I set this aside and let it cure for 12 hours. Remember there is no need to waste any of your resin. If you don’t have another charm you want to create, create resin paper by placing the paper onto wax paper or foil and brush the leftover resin onto the papers...

EnviroTex Resin Key Chain

Jan 2, 2013

I created this key chain for my sister, Belinda. It was created in memory of my brother, Richard who passed away from alcoholism, March 28, 2004. He loved the water and worked on a boat off the Gulf of Mexico. I found this image of the anchor by doing a google search and the quote from Quote Garden. I had Alan resize the image for me to fit inside the bezel then printed it out on my laser printer. Next, I applied Nunn Design Glue on the bezel and placed the image on top, pressing the bubbles out from underneath the image as best I could using my finger and paint brush for the corners. Once I felt I got all the bubbles out, using a paint brush I applied a layer of Nunn...

Owl Charms

Dec 31, 2012

My sister, Belinda has a serious love of owls. She likes the fun whimsical style so I thought I would create a few charms for her to wear. I printed off some owl images using my laser printer then cut them to fit the bezels shown above. Using a paint brush I applied Nunn Design Glue inside each bezel then placed the image on top of the glue pressing down with my finger to make sure I removed any air bubbles. Then I applied a layer of the glue on top of each image, letting it dry completely then applied another layer of glue. Once dry I accented the images with Diamond Stickles. After the Stickles dried I applied Judi Kins Gel du Soleil and used a Judi Kins UV Lamp. This product is different than...

Merry Christmas

Dec 25, 2012

I hope you and your family are all enjoying a wonderful holiday season. I certainly do wish you all the very best and happiest of holidays. Now that everyone has opened their gifts I can finally share all the projects I created this Christmas to give to my family. Today’s canvas was my gift to my dad. As you all know he is Santa and has quite a collection of Santa’s so I thought I would add to it. I’m happy to report Santa’s sitting in his recliner with his feet up and a tummy full of milk and cookies resting from all his travels during the night. I really did have a lot of fun creating this 4″ x 4″ canvas for dad. I  tried hard to make each gift I create personal....

Mini EnviroTex Resin Charms

Nov 8, 2012

If you need to make some holiday gifts I really think you should make charms using EnviroTex Resin. It’s so simple and the outcome is beautiful. I created these using vintage book pages, ledger paper and sheet music as well as Sculpey Clay & my Antiquated Collection ~ Mini Silhouettes & Monograms Stamp Set. The vintage papers are accented using Nunn Design Transfer and Collage Sheets. I love how the collage sheet images are somewhat transparent so the images look as though they’ve been printed onto the vintage papers. I tell ya these charms are so much prettier in person. The upper right charm is topped of with a bauble I’ve been saving for quite sometime. I even accented the center of the flower with some Diamond Stickles for some sparkle. So are you...
