Hurry up and check this out…

January11

Would you like to have your Maya Road project featured at the CHA-W show? If so, you want to read about this special open call Maya Road is having. I am so excited and know the 15 winners will be over the moon excited.

I still do not have any projects I can show you just yet and it is killing me! It will be well worth the wait because Caroline and Deb have really put together some incredible new products for CHA-W and if you keep checking their blogs you just might be the first to see some early sneak peeks. You are all going to be blown away.

If you are not signed up for their Consumer Newsletter I suggest you do so now. This way you can keep updated with all the new happenings going on at Maya Road.

12 boxes…

January8

Winter Bella Project 3of wonderful new Maya Road products are coming in tomorrow. I’m sure it will not take much guessing to figure out where I will be tomorrow! It is like Christmas when these boxes arrive. I love seeing all the new products Deb and Caroline create. I thought CHA-S was an incredible release but man I think they have topped that one because CHA-W is out of this world. I cannot wait for you to see all the new products.

Here is a portion of my newest Winter Bella E-Zine project. This is the first time I have ever just scrapped or created something for me. Usually I am working on a layout or project for a design team or a specific call. It is so nice to play late at night when all is quiet. I can’t wait to work on another project tonight. But today it is all pre-CHA-W. My check list keeps getting bigger rather than smaller.

Lots of creativity going on…

January4

I cannot believe the holidays have come and gone. All our visiting family members are back in their homes safe and sound and I have begun my creative frenzy. CHA is just weeks away! You all are going to have fits… absolute fits I tell you when you see what Caroline and Deb have created for Maya Road. This release is going to be incredible. So many wonderful new products.

Winterbella 2008

I gave myself a little something for Christmas. I subscribed to Teresa McFayden’s Winter Bella E-Zine. This was the first week and the first two projects were adorable. Teresa’s projects are created so that you can use what you already have in your stash which is a very good thing this time of year.

Wishing you all the best for 2008.

Clear Ornaments…

December13

I got to go and spend some time with Caroline and Noah yesterday and man was Caroline full of inspiration. I saw lots of new CHA-W releases and all I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW or as Noah would say, “WOOOOWWWW”you all are going to be so wanting lots of Maya Road products! I feel like the luckiest person in the world getting to work with Caroline and Deb. While there sorting DT product Caroline was showing me all the cute projects she has been creating. That girl has been churning out some projects! Well her clear ornaments were the cutest and I had to come right home and make some for myself. The hardest part about this project is deciding which photo to use. They are so easy, so fun and would be adorable handed out at an ornament exchange, as a little housewarming gift or attached to a present for family and friends. BUT be careful… these are very fragile! I know first hand because I already broke one… dang it!

Maya Road Sneak Peek… #4

July12

I thought I would update my blog tonight since I will be going to play with this sweet little boy tomorrow morning. Gosh I love me some Noah time. He is so darn cute… just look at this face.

Baby Noah who isn’t much of a baby anymore!

His Mommy Caroline and Auntie Deb are at full throttle right now. So while his Mommy works we get to play. Those of you that will be attending CHA are going to love all the projects that will be displayed in the booth… LOADS and LOADS and LOADS of eye candy. If you stop by make sure to say hi! Here is part of the CHA-S catalog if you want to take a look at some of the great stuff coming out. Caroline and Deb are adding items daily.

Now for sneak peek #4… this is the new 3 x 3 accordion album. I LOVE this size and this little project can be completed in an evening. Which is pretty good for me, I can’t remember when I finished one that fast. The scallop frame, royalty crown and microchip hearts are also being released at CHA-S. The paper line is “Beloved” by Danelle Johnson. I love the pink and black combination and can’t seem to get enough of this paper. The photos inside the album are of my sweet, adorable little niece Isabella Kate. I get to see her Aug. 2 and believe me I am counting the days.

Images removed for publication. This project will be in the Dec/Jan 2008 issue of Paper Trends.
Oh and the quote inside is the cutest! My niece Madelyn (4 yrs. old) now known as the “Big Sister” of the house (never mind that Amanda “THE BIG SISTER” will turn 16 in just a few days) said this the day Isabella Kate came home.

Madelyn was holding Isabella Kate for the first time and Isabella Kate’s bow fell out. Well Madelyn says to her Daddy… “Daddy put her bow back in… she can’t be a Princess without her bow.” I think this is the cutest quote ever and will use it on many more projects I’m sure.

Nothing like a Maya Road day…

July7

Recognize this little guy? I got to play with him all afternoon. Talk about fun AND I get to go back next week to play again. This is Noah, Caroline’s adorable little boy. I love how he is sitting on his feet. You can’t tell but he is dancing to the Backyardigans. He would wiggle as the songs played… too cute I tell ya!

Noah Dancing

Then…. I never ever thought I would say this but I tried these dried salty prunes (on the left) and LOVE them. I totally understand why Caroline says when she thinks of these her mouth waters… it is the strangest thing you really do get this mouth watering, sweet/salty taste in your mouth when the thought enters your mind. Now the dried anchovies on the right… we may just have to have a cultural difference on this one. I just can’t go there quite yet.

Caroline took me to the warehouse too! Oh to be surrounded by Maya Road goodness is such a wonderful thing. I also found out about a few more things they have in the works and all I can say is WOW… she and Deb are full of great ideas. I cannot wait for CHA to get here so everyone can see all the goodness for themselves.

Just a quick post…

June29

I have been so busy creating projects for Maya Road and cannot wait for the sneak peek go ahead. You all are just going to LOVE all the new products… truly amazing stuff Deb and Caroline have created. I think it is their best release to date. Really every item is just incredible!

Here are a few cards I created using some of my templates. I love making cards. The problem is once I make them I don’t want to give them away. I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels this way. I will have these templates for sale on my blog soon for those of you that might want to make your own.

Wishing you all a wonderful day.

Making Progress…

June21

I am almost finished with this project… just need to journal but will do this later. I feel like the little engine that could…. I think I can, I think I can or Dori… just keep swimming, just keep swimming! I have so many projects to get done but am slowly marking them off my list. I cannot wait to get to show you the new Maya Road album I am working on. It is CUTE CUTE CUTE. You are all going to be begging your local scrapbook stores to please stock their shelves with these new items. Caroline and Deb really out did themselves this time. They just keep getting better and better and before long I’m going to have to rent a warehouse to use as my scraproom… I want everything they create. Anyway, here are a few more photos of my suitcase project. I am really having fun creating a project that documents some of the jewelry that was given to me by my grandmothers.

What an awesome experience! Caroline and Deb have really put out some incredible products and I want every single one of them. The crushed velvet ribbons, the velvet blossom trims, the velvet ric rac, the velvet blossoms, the tapestry and clocks chipboard, the calendar flip book, all the binders, all the keepsake boxes all I can think of is OH ALAN…. I NEED TO ADD ON TO MY SCRAPROOM!

And so that I’m not alone here is the link to the catalog. You too will be thinking about adding on to your scraproom.

Judi created this really cute sign for the design team wall. Jess had each designer create a canvas for the booth using any Maya Road products we wanted. It was fun seeing how each canvas was so different.

I cannot wait for CHA Summer. I am really going to try to attend. I could easily become a trade show junkie. I find the entire experience to be so much fun! I do know Caroline and Deb have some great ideas to debut at the summer show. I try not to wish my life away but I really wish summer would get here as I cannot wait to see and play with the new products.

more Maya Road sneak peeks and an OMGosh moment…

January20

Here is a tag I created using the new clear stamps, twill and rub ons by Maya Road. These new products are incredible to work with… the stamps are great and the rub ons go on as smooth as butter. I LOVE great rub ons! The chipboard tag and flowers are also by Maya Road.

Now for my OMGosh moment… check this out Creating Keepsakes Thanks Judi for pointing this POTD out, I would have been so sad if I had missed it.
Well back to working on my heart binder and box for CHA. I tell you this has taken me forever to complete but I hold Deb and Caroline responsible for my delay. They keep sending incredible new products to play which causes me not to be able to stay focused on this project for more than a few seconds.
