Stickles

Jun 5, 2013

Most of you should know by now that I have a serious LOVE for Stickles, especially Diamond and Platinum! When teaching these two are a given for items needed in class. I use Stickles on pretty much everything I create and I have a saying about them too, “Stickles is to Crafters what Botox is to Plastic Surgeons. You can always use a little somewhere”. If you are a crafter that does not like loose glitter Stickles is a product for you. It’s easy to use and there is zero mess. So today, I’m going to show you how I use a little or a lot on my projects. Diamond Stickles is a great way to give a simple flower a little pop. All you need to do is apply a small amount onto...

Blast from the Past 3

Aug 7, 2012

This is the mini album that started it all… I wanted to create something special for my oldest daughter Terri, who was getting ready to celebrate her 17th birthday. I had seen lots of mini albums in the gallery at Two Peas In A Bucket and decided Terri’s upcoming birthday was just the push I needed to jump into the world of creating mini albums. At first I was scared to death because I had no clue what in the world I was doing or even how to begin. I went to a scrapbook store which was just down the street and started looking at all the products. Mind you, this was a very strange world to me. I was still learning what Rub ons and brads were and never mind the overwhelming feeling...

Sunkissed

Jun 2, 2011

This is one of my favorite summer photos of Ansley. It was taken the summer before her freshman year of high school. All the bright colored patterned papers work perfectly with her swimsuit. I inked, punched, stitched and distressed all over this layout. The circle background is stitched to look like a summer garland and I had to add butterfly accents because what would summer be without butterflies? The distressed edges of each circle add dimension to the layout. Diamond Stickle accents added to the edges of the tags, butterflies, horizontal strip and the photos edges and mat bring on the bling which as you know, I love so much. The vertical edges of the aqua and white mat are trimmed with scallop scissors to add some interest as well as a little pop...

Gift Bow

Dec 17, 2010

The other day Ronda sent me a few photos of some cute containers she created filled with some of her peppermint bark, click here if you want her recipe. Well I noticed she had the cutest gift bows on top of each container so I immediately asked her how she made them. Well she got the idea from Emily who got the idea from a post on Flickr. Oh the tangled web us crafters weave. Emily’s tutorial is super easy to follow and I think you will want to create some for yourself. These bows do not take much paper either so you could mix and match them with your paper scraps. Supplies Used: The Girls’ Paperier – Tinsel & Twig – Holly Berry Floral, ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink – Creamy Brown, Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky...

Altered Prima Bottle

Mar 29, 2010

This looks so much prettier in person. I wish you could see all the sparkle. It is hard to photograph it well so that you can see the entire thing. Anyway, I had fun getting my fingers messy today. Not something I usually do as I am a super neat scrapper and have never liked having my hands dirty… never, ever, ever. And I passed that gene right on to my Sweet Pea Terri. That girl does not get dirty either. I wish I could have my son-in-law share with you the story of their first camping trip. He is a Saint is all I have to say, I have never laughed so hard! I hope you enjoy today’s project. Trying to think of something to make for tomorrow. I have a feeling it...

Oh the fun….

Nov 1, 2007

It looks as though our neighborhood “Gangstas” wear fuzzy slippers and hang out with “Ostrich Farmers.” Ansley (white shirt) and her friends Erin and Foster had a fun time passing out candy to trick-or-treaters as well as surprising some with a blast of silly string. It will be fun meeting everyone and getting to play with all the wonderful Fiskars products.
