Hammered Metal Heart Charms

Each of these hearts lit­er­al­ly took me 10 min­utes to cre­ate. If you want to make some for your­self you will need a Steel Block, Met­al Stamp­ing Ham­mer, 16 Gauge Wire (I used Per­ma­nent­ly Col­or Cop­per Sil­ver Wire and Cop­per Wire) and Wire Cut­ters. To begin cre­at­ing your heart charm using wire cut­ters, cut a piece of wire to about 6 inch­es in length. Form a heart shape then twist the ends of the wire togeth­er sev­er­al times. Place the heart onto the steel block and ham­mer the wire until flat. You can cre­ate tex­ture by using the ball end of your met­al stamp­ing ham­mer. CHA Day 2…

Over 100 make-n-takes and yards and yards of Pleat Satin Edg­ing hav­ing been cut, day 2 of CHA has come to an end. Tomor­row I will be with Maya Road from 10:00 until 12:30. Then at 1:00 I will be doing a book sign­ing and make-n-take for F+W Media (booth #2234) until 2:00. From 2:00 to 2:30 I will be doing anoth­er book sign­ing for R+M West Coast Dis­trib­u­tors (booth #608). Now remem­ber, since I am on a tight sched­ule F+W Media will be hand­ing out only 20 tick­ets to those in line just before my book sign­ing and make-n-take. Holiday Ornament

Here is an orna­ment I cre­at­ed using lots of Maya Road prod­uct. First I paint­ed a page from a Maya Road Sheer Snowflake Coast­er Album using Spot­light Paint by Mak­ing Mem­o­ries. I paint­ed two Maya Road Roy­al­ty Chip­board Crowns using a Metal­lic Gold Paint Dab­ber by Ranger.

I love using crack­ling medi­um on chip­board and think it gave the piece a real­ly nice shab­by chic feel which is how Made­lyn and soon to be Isabel­la Kate’s room is dec­o­rat­ed.
