25 Days Left To Bake Countdown Tray

Dec 1, 2014

I wasn’t kidding when I said I love countdown calendars as much as any kid… here is a countdown calendar for all you bakers. It’s perfect to place on your counter next to your cookbooks or placed on your kitchen island.  And this year, I’m all about using what I have so the holiday pick is from years past. Hobby Lobby has one with faux peppermints that is calling my name but nope I’m not gonna do it… I’m sticking with the, use what I have method this year. Products Used: Tray, Distress Paint Linen, Americana Chalkboard Paint, Holiday Pick, Vintage Wooden Sporks, My Mind’s Eye ~ Joyous Decorative Tag & Alpha Sticker Sheet, Coffee Archival Ink Tools Needed: Paintbrush, Craft Mat, Blending Tool & Foam, Hot Glue Gun, Hot Glue Sticks This tray is really simple to...

Just 4u

Jun 7, 2011

I really like the warm color scheme of this card. The combination of the red and cream is so pretty. Of course the pops of Diamond Stickles here and there are awesome too. I covered the bottom two journaling cards with patterned paper and left the top one “Just 4u” as is, then distressed and inked the edges and attached it to the middle circle using a pop dot. I think the October Afternoon Word Sticker strips work great as the tones match the tones of the red and cream perfectly. The strips add interest and color to the card in a super simple way. Products used are from the June Cocoa Daisy “Cherry Soda” Main Kit and “Chocolate Malt” Add On Kit. I have a few kits left over from my “Quilted Memories”...

Back Home…

Jun 16, 2009

We had a great time in Beaumont visiting family. It was an action packed week to say the least. So this week will be full of family type blog posts for those family members that live so far away. A few sneak peeks of some Americana Workshop projects will be thrown in here and there too. I cannot believe we are already into week 3’s projects. But first I must say being 2 and 5 sure is fun when school’s out for the summer. Isabella and Madelyn did a lot of this each day… They each loved it when I would pull their feet to get them swinging. Not sure what it is about that but they always wanted me to start them swinging in this manner. I guess it is the thrill of...

May 27, 2009

I am the guest designer in June for Cocoa Daisy. And let me just say Tricia did a wonderful job putting the June kit together as it is so inspiring. I am providing a little PDF so that those who purchase the kit can download the templates needed to recreate a little wall hanging. I will share sneak peeks of this project later this week. And just so you all know, one lucky Cocoa Daisy subscriber will win a free pass to my Americana Workshop. I wonder if it will be you? Thanks for asking me to play Tricia. It was great to once again be among the Daisy...
