Home Sweet Home (archived) In this FREE altered class we will be altering a Maya Road Townhouse and Mini Album using a faux mosaic created from 4 beautiful Webster’s Pages patterned papers.

We will accent the house and album with lots of Maya Road products, such as their Vintage Sequins Edging, Pom Pom Trim, Double Stitched Velvet, Blossoms, Jewel Pins, Buttons and Rubons. Vintage items such as Seam Binding, Bakers Twine and flocked flowers help accent the house and album perfectly. I will show you how to accent each page of your album using Stickles and basic hand doodling. Once completed your finished album can be stored neatly inside the house or left out for all to see.

This online class comes with a complete supply list, step by step instructions and color images of the Townhouse and each Mini Album Page. Say Say Old Playmate (archived)

The cost for this online workshop is $19.95.

You'll create a unique paper doll, alter three dresses and create cute items for her to hold. Your doll and her belongings will look adorable kept in an altered cigar box or hung on the wall attached to a vintage tray (magnets are involved with this project). Passers by can change her outfit or hand held embellishment any time they feel. Mine will certainly be hanging in my scraproom.

New! Tips, Techniques and Tutorials Although I've posted a quite a few PDF tutorials in my online store, I'm often asked about my techniques for creating the other projects posted on this blog. Since I love to share my techniques and ideas for creating, I've created a new private membership area, called "Tips, Techniques and Tutorials, a paper crafting community."

This new private blog/community will be a fun place where I'll share my favorite tips and techniques, as well as step-by-step tutorials that you can follow to recreate many of the future projects you will find here on my "It's In The Details" blog. We will have a forum so that we can chat, and for everyone to ask questions. This will be a community about creating and sharing.

Not too bad, considering that over the next weeks and months this paper crafting community will be filled with new tutorials of all kinds... and any one of the PDF tutorials in my store is $1.25. Canvas Sampler Album (archived)

In this workshop you will alter the cover of a Maya Road canvas binder album with mini chipboard tags covered with images of vintage ledger paper, sheet music, book pages and gorgeous fine silver German glass glitter.

The inside of the album is covered with images of vintage bingo cards and includes two canvas pockets that have been altered with crocheted doilies, trim and burlap accents. The pockets are perfect for small mementos and memorabilia. The album includes 3 pages that can be covered with your new or heritage family photos, favorite vintage items or images of your everyday life (6 photos total).

It's All About the Dress (archived)

In this online class you will alter a Maya Road Dress Form album using several different techniques. I will show you how to create delicate ruffles and rosettes from crepe paper an adorable boa created with flowers made from old book pages and beautiful cabbage roses created from felt. You will accent the dress forms with pearls, rhinestones, stick pins, scalloped trim, tulle and seam binding.

Three dress forms will be covered with a scanned image of either ledger paper, sheet music or an old book page from my favorite supplies of vintage papers.

Once completed you can place each altered dress form inside a shadow box to create a gorgeous framed trio or attach them to ribbon to create a banner. If you have any girls who recently attended their Prom you can attach a photo on the back of each dress form page to create a very unique keepsake album to document this special occasion.

You will also alter two pages from the Maya Road Dress Form album with a faux Italian Stucco texture that is perfect to apply to lots of different projects such as album covers, tags and chipboard embellishments. You will learn how to recreate beautiful roses using Grungepaper, Paint, Distress Stickles and Glitter. This project is all about paint and ink so make sure you wear an apron or something you will not mind getting dirty.

Live Life with Joy (archived)

The cost for this workshop is $19.95.

Get your apron, wipes and paper towels handy because you're going to get messy as this online workshop is all about Claudine Hellmuth Studio Paints and Maya Road Maya Mist.

You will alter the canvas cover and two canvas pages of your album using Claudine's paints; and create colorful glazes to use with stencils. You will also accent areas of the cover using paint and the rim of a cup. You'll create embellishments with book pages and chipboard, accent the inside of the chipboard album and chipboard pages with Maya Mist.

You will cover your pages with four of your photographs, which have been printed on smooth white cardstock using a laser printer or copier, so that you can accent your photographs with Stickles and paint without the worry of ink running.

You will learn how to do basic doodling using a charcoal pencil, and simple accents using your artist brushes.

This is a very technique-based online workshop that is guaranteed to be loads of fun!
