Most projects designed for my workshops are created for you to use products you already have on hand. In cases where specialty items are needed, most products are easily found and are inexpensive. For those of you who wish to create the projects exactly as I created mine, complete supply lists and step by step instructions are provided, as well as close-up color photos of each featured project.
(archived) If you like creating projects with a vintage flare and working with random items you've collected, such as old sheet music, book pages or gold tinsel, “A Very Vintage Christmas” is the Christmas workshop for you. But if vintage is not your taste please don't feel left out! You can create your versions of these projects with supplies you have on hand that are a better fit to your own holiday style. This online workshop features 15 project tutorials. Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday one of 12 ornament tutorials will be introduced. Each of the three Saturdays, old fashioned Putz house project tutorials will be posted. Plus, each Thursday you will get either vintage Christmas Postcard downloads or a Christmas/Winter themed mini flashcard download. Yes, this four week workshop is filled with holiday goodness.

The All Hallow's Eve(archived) 45-day workshop includes 12 vintage-themed project tutorials. Projects include items such as treat baskets, feather tree ornaments, mini wall hangings, tags and a treat bag. For those who are participating in Halloween tag swaps, a few tag tutorials are placed in the first two weeks of this workshop.
Each tutorial includes color photos and step by step instructions. Some projects come with downloadable templates to make your creative process a bit easier. I have also included vintage postcard and mini flashcard downloads for both Halloween AND Thanksgiving.
Suggestions are provided to convert at least 7 All Hallow's Eve projects into adorable Thanksgiving themed items, making this workshop pretty much a two for one!

Homespun Inspiration(archived)is a vintage themed style workshop and includes three online classes.
You will have access to this workshop for 11 full weeks after your signup date. Each month’s vintage-themed project will include a complete supply list, full color images, step by step instructions, tips, notes and suggestions.
These projects include some of my favorite items, such as fabric remnants, sewing pattern tissue, old buttons, simple floral picks, seam binding and Baker’s twine. With all these elements you cannot help but create an elegant homespun project. The cost for this online class is $19.95.
Free! Sweet Treats (archived) I picture this ”Sweet Treats“ mini banner hanging during family birthday parties or an afternoon tea or luncheon with a group of your closest girlfriends. With it's color combination of pale pink and cream and vintage style Die Cut accents, this mini banner is certain to add a warm nostalgic feel to any special occasion. Home Sweet Home (archived) In this altered class we will be altering a Maya Road Townhouse and Mini Album using a faux mosaic created from 4 beautiful Webster’s Pages patterned papers. Your class will end four full weeks after your sign up date.
We will accent the house and album with lots of Maya Road products, such as their Vintage Sequins Edging, Pom Pom Trim, Double Stitched Velvet, Blossoms, Jewel Pins, Buttons and Rubons. Vintage items such as Seam Binding, Bakers Twine and flocked flowers help accent the house and album perfectly. I will show you how to accent each page of your album using Stickles and basic hand doodling. Once completed your finished album can be stored neatly inside the house or left out for all to see.
This four day online class comes with a complete supply list, step by step instructions and color images of the Townhouse and each Mini Album Page. Plus, I added Notes and Tips I learned via trial and error that will assist you in the creative process. The cost for this online class is $19.95 $9.95.

Americana (archived) The cost for this workshop is $14.95. You will get six weeks of access to the private blog starting with the day you sign up. When I look at the projects created for this workshop I think of dripping Popsicles, family picnics and the anticipation of waiting to watch a night filled sky full of fireworks. In this Americana Workshop you will create 12 projects using the very striking red, white and blue color scheme. All 12 tutorials include color photos, step by step directions, supply lists and tools needed.
Free! Vintage Sampler (archived) This is a free mixed media workshop which showcases the tiniest of vintage ephemera. It's just a little something from me to show you all my appreciation. Enjoy!
Hippity Hop Easter Workshop (archived) The cost for this workshop is $9.95. It includes 7 tutorials to recreate 3 adorable Easter projects and 4 beautifully detailed Easter cards. Templates are included for download to recreate the cards. As always, each project and card tutorial includes color photos and step-by-step instructions (sneak peeks are on the image below). Cupid’s Workshop (archived) The cost for this workshop is $14.95. You will get step by step instructions for 8 Valentine’s Day projects (sneak peeks are on the image below), including color photos, downloads of children’s Valentine’s Day cards from the 1920’s and vintage Valentine’s Day postcards dated 1909, 1910 and 1911. The cost for this workshop is $9.95. This mini banner is the fun project I taught at CHA-W 2010 in Anaheim.
This workshop was created so that everyone could finish the project in 90 minutes, which explains why I only used 3 pages from the Maya Road Mini 2-Ring Triangle Banner Book. And I am happy to report that everyone did walk out of class with their finished project in hand.
You can use my book, “Delight In The Details,” to reference the techniques used in this project. I included the page numbers in the instructions.

New! Say Say Old Playmate In this online workshop you'll create a unique paper doll, alter three dresses and create cute items for her to hold. Your doll and her belongings will look adorable kept in an altered cigar box or hung on the wall attached to a vintage tray (magnets are involved with this project). Passers by can change her outfit or hand held embellishment any time they feel. Mine will certainly be hanging in my scraproom.

New! Tips, Techniques and Tutorials Although I've posted a quite a few PDF tutorials in my online store, I'm often asked about my techniques for creating the other projects posted on this blog. Since I love to share my techniques and ideas for creating, I've created a new private membership area, called "Tips, Techniques and Tutorials, a paper crafting community."
This new private blog/community will be a fun place where I'll share my favorite tips and techniques, as well as step-by-step tutorials that you can follow to recreate many of the future projects you will find here on my "It's In The Details" blog. We will have a forum so that we can chat, and for everyone to ask questions. This will be a community about creating and sharing.
The annual cost for membership is $14.95, which averages out to $1.25 a month. Not too bad, considering that over the next weeks and months this paper crafting community will be filled with new tutorials of all kinds... and any one of the PDF tutorials in my store is $1.25. I have already posted one tutorial, which details how to recreate the roses shown in the badge above. These roses are super easy and loads of fun to make.
Canvas Sampler Album The cost for this workshop is $24.95. In this workshop you will alter the cover of a Maya Road canvas binder album with mini chipboard tags covered with images of vintage ledger paper, sheet music, book pages and gorgeous fine silver German glass glitter.
The inside of the album is covered with images of vintage bingo cards and includes two canvas pockets that have been altered with crocheted doilies, trim and burlap accents. The pockets are perfect for small mementos and memorabilia. The album includes 3 pages that can be covered with your new or heritage family photos, favorite vintage items or images of your everyday life (6 photos total).
This album can be for any theme you choose. I covered the inside pages of my album with photos from my daughter Terri's wedding.

In this online class you will alter a Maya Road Dress Form album using several different techniques. I will show you how to create delicate ruffles and rosettes from crepe paper an adorable boa created with flowers made from old book pages and beautiful cabbage roses created from felt. You will accent the dress forms with pearls, rhinestones, stick pins, scalloped trim, tulle and seam binding.
Three dress forms will be covered with a scanned image of either ledger paper, sheet music or an old book page from my favorite supplies of vintage papers.
Once completed you can place each altered dress form inside a shadow box to create a gorgeous framed trio or attach them to ribbon to create a banner. If you have any girls who recently attended their Prom you can attach a photo on the back of each dress form page to create a very unique keepsake album to document this special occasion.
You will also alter two pages from the Maya Road Dress Form album with a faux Italian Stucco texture that is perfect to apply to lots of different projects such as album covers, tags and chipboard embellishments. You will learn how to recreate beautiful roses using Grungepaper, Paint, Distress Stickles and Glitter. This project is all about paint and ink so make sure you wear an apron or something you will not mind getting dirty.
