25 Days Left To Bake Countdown Tray
I wasn’t kidding when I said I love countdown calendars as much as any kid… here is a countdown calendar for all you bakers. It’s perfect to place on your counter next to your cookbooks or placed on your kitchen island. And this year, I’m all about using what I have so the holiday pick is from years past. Hobby Lobby has one with faux peppermints that is calling my name but nope I’m not gonna do it… I’m sticking with the, use what I have method this year.
Products Used: Tray, Distress Paint Linen, Americana Chalkboard Paint, Holiday Pick, Vintage Wooden Sporks, My Mind’s Eye ~ Joyous Decorative Tag & Alpha Sticker Sheet, Coffee Archival Ink
Tools Needed: Paintbrush, Craft Mat, Blending Tool & Foam, Hot Glue Gun, Hot Glue Sticks
This tray is really simple to re-create if you want to make one of your own. Just paint the entire front of the tray using Distress Paint and let dry. Paint the center of the tray with Chalkboard paint, let dry. Hot glue the holiday pick to the lower front section of the tray, hot glue two wooden sporks to the tray as shown. Using a My Mind’s Eye Joyous Decorative Tag and Alpha Stickers create the small sign that reads “Days Left To Bake”.
Please note before writing on the chalkboard make sure to cure it by gently rubbing chalk all over the dried chalkboard paint then wipe off with a dry paper towel. Now you are ready to countdown the number of baking days you have left for the holidays.
