Rocky Mountain Memories ~ Artist Flood Relief
Last September Colorado was really hit hard with unexpected flash floods. Dams broke, roads were washed out, rivers took control, and lives were lost. It’s just so devastating. Complete towns were evacuated, lives lost, people unaccounted for, homes & businesses demolished.
Rocky Mountain Memories is hosting a silent auction to help Crossroads Ministries. This non-profit organization has provided a total of 725 flood relief assists but their funds are depleting. Any assistance would be appreciated. Up for auction are many great pieces from various artists. I’ve donated autographed copies of all three of my books Delight In The Details, Delight In The Seasons and Delight In The Art of Collage, plus several other items.
This shabby chic birdhouse was shared on my blog in July of last year. If you want to read how I created it you can check out the blog post HERE. If you wish to bid on this one of a kind home decor item you can do so HERE.
The base of this one of a kind handmade blue bird of happiness is created from chipboard then wrapped in plaster. Once the wrapped layers of plaster dried I stenciled additional plaster to the bird using a vintage doily coaster. I then added layers of paint, perfect pearls and stamped words. To complete my blue bird of happiness I accented it with scalloped strips of vintage sheet music and altered mulberry flowers. To bid on this one of a kind home decor item click HERE.
This set of handmade ornaments is created from scalloped chipboard, vintage sheet music and plaster holiday figures. These holiday figures are created from molds created from vintage ornaments I have in my collection. Each figure is hand painted by me and all 5 ornaments are sprinkled with crystal glitter and accented with Platinum Stickles. To bid on these one of a kind holiday ornaments click HERE.
To purchase autographed copies of my Delight Trilogy click HERE to bid.
I also have a handmade textile cuff listed that I threw in at the last minute. This means I forgot to get a photo. It is created from a vintage quilt that was created by my great great aunts and has lots of baubles sewn to it like, rhinestone trim, satin flowers, beads, vintage buttons and linen burlap. To bid on this one of a kind textile cuff click HERE.
After seeing all the devastation while there on vacation this past April, my dad donated one of his hand-carved bottlenose dolphins similar to the one shown above. The bottle nose dolphin is created from Butternut Northern hardwood and sits on a Manzanita burl base. This piece stands 7″ high and 10″ long. To bid on this item click HERE.
