Have YOU Signed Up?
I’m so glad to be heading back to The Crafty Scrapper, May 17th to teach my fun technique filled Altered Art Journal from 12:00 to 4:00. If you want to take this class please call Carolyn now at (972) 923.3151 because there are only a few spots left.
In this Altered Art Journal class you will create a beautiful altered art journal using one of Wendy Vecchi’s new Studio 490 Art Parts Art Journal Covers. You will alter the front of your art journal cover using Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 Embossing Paste and NEW Crackle Texture Paste, The Crafter’s Workshop Stencils, Paint and more. The inside front and back covers will be altered using Vintage Sheet Music, Inks and Perfect Pearls Mist. I will show you how to make beautiful paper feathers to adorn the front of your art journal as well as share techniques to be used on future projects.
Inside your altered art journal are blank watercolor pages for experimenting with inks, paints and doodling ~ Notebook pages for writing down all your creative ideas, tips and techniques ~ A clear pocket to store found inspiration from magazines or photos and a transparency sheet for stamping to use as a guide before committing to your actual project. For future altered art projects this kit also includes the following vintage ephemera from my personal collection ~ Foreign Language Book Pages, Children’s Book Pages, Ledger Paper, Sheet Music, Green Stamps & other similar stamps plus anything else I can dig up I think you’ll love.
For this class you will need to bring the following supplies and tools: Diamond & Platinum Stickles, Water-soluble or Water Proof Pencils ~ Black & White, Glue Stick, Strong Clear Drying Liquid Adhesive “I use Aleene’s Tacky Glue,” Paintbrush, Scissors, Paper Trimmer, Heat Tool, Jet Black Archival Ink, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
If this is not your preferred color scheme please feel free to bring to class two different colors of paint dabbers and your preferred Archival Ink colors & Adirondack Dye Ink. I will bring stencils to share but again if you have some that are your favorites please feel free to bring them. I want this altered art journal to be a reflection of you and your style.
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone, once again.
