Rocky Mountain Memories ~ Estes Park, Colorado
All of last week I was in Estes Park, Colorado with mom and dad. We had a fabulous time exploring every inch of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. I loved being able to combine work with play especially with mom and dad. They are a blast to travel with and guarantees lot of laugh until you cry moments. Throughout the week, I will be sharing loads of photos taken during our adventure.
First I have to tell you about the fun I had teaching classes at Rocky Mountain Memories April 25th & 26th. Cheryl Grigsby is living my dream. Seriously I’m not kidding, she has a scrapbook store, an adorable rental cabin and a home in Estes Park. Oh how this Texas girl wants to move to Estes Park so badly. I truly belong there.
Cheryl has her shop, Rocky Mountain Memories filled with all the latest and greatest products as well as loads of nature themed EVERYTHING… patterned papers, embellishments, stamps etc. her stamp collection is filled with the best bird and nature stamps I’ve ever seen.
Friday afternoon, I taught an altered art journal class. This class was super fun. Everyone was handed the same items to collage with and every single art journal ended up being unique to each persons style. All were different and all were beautiful. We laughed and chatted and just had a wonderful creative afternoon together.
After class, we ate dinner at Mama Rose’s Italian Restaurant. This place has awesome food and the best salad I’ve ever eaten. We loved this restaurant so much that mom, dad and I broke our traveling eat out rule… never eat dinner at the same place twice. We ate at Mama Rose’s three times. The photo above I titled “When Trouble meets Trouble” Stacey is a hoot so she and dad got along just fine.
Saturday morning, I taught a mini collage card class and shared lots of techniques that can be used in future projects like tags, mini albums, layouts etc. It was a fun filled day and I was so sad when it ended. All of Cheryl’s customers were so warm and welcoming. They made me feel right at home.
Now I’m back to reality… laundry, cleaning and lots of work to catch up on. But I have some awesome memories to reflect upon.
