The Newfangled Neo Chain Blog Hop

Jewelry Trio

It goes without saying that there are so many different types of chain to choose from for stringing and sewing projects. Dazzle-it NEO is a new collection of chain and findings featuring classic colors with a new age twist! The vivid colors are quite eye catching and make a great accent to your jewelry designs. Mix these colors together for an extravagant look or simply add them together with black or white beads to pop the individual colors. The possibilities are endless.

Neo Findings

For this fun blog hop I was sent the black and white chain and findings to use to create what ever items I wanted. I decided on creating a matching necklace, bracelet and earring set. The NEO chain glitters because the cut in the chain exposes the brass beneath, which worked perfectly with my vintage baubles and Maya Road charms. I’m really pleased with how this set turned out and plan on wearing them often.

Maya Road Leaf Charm

To create the necklace I used both the black and white NEO cut chains. The chain comes in two different sizes 3.5 x 2mm and 5 x 3mm. I used the 3.5 x 2mm for this necklace. I cut the chains to the desired lengths. You will need 2 of each chain color. Then I attached a jump ring to each end of the black and white chains. Since this is a long necklace I did not need to attach a clasp as I can just place it over my head.

To adorn the necklace I attached a Maya Road Big Leaf Charm and two wire wrapped beads. With this necklace you can have one side black and one side white or you can have both colors mixed together. Personally, I prefer one side black and one side white.

Bracelet & Earrings

Bracelet Close Up

After I finished creating the necklace you know I had to make a charm bracelet. I have so many charm bracelets and love each and everyone of them. To make the bracelet I cut three strands of the 5 x 3mm black NEO chain to approximately 7″ in length. I attached each end of the chains onto a black jump ring from a NEO Findings Set then attached a black NEO Lobster Clasp. Next all I did was attach vintage wire wrapped baubles a Maya Road Mini Tree Charm and two Maya Road Vintage What a Hoot Owl Charms. I love how the finished bracelet came out.

This earring set was super quick and easy to make. I used the Earrings from the NEO Findings Set in Black and just attached two wire wrapped beads and a teardrop bead to the earrings. BAM done! I was also sent items in their awesome NEO bright green, purple and blue colors and will share these projects during the week. I made some fun Spring necklaces for Terri and Ansley and a sparkly bracelet from the Metal Complex Flat Leather strips I shared in yesterday’s blog post.
