Have Fun and Show you Care

Jun 15, 2013

Today, I am participating off and on at a wonderful online event, Oklahoma We Care Online Crop. This crop will benefit Oklahoma Tornado Victims as every single penny raised goes directly to the Oklahoma United Way. The awesome thing is, if you cannot join us today you can still participate in the challenges and games as you have a week to complete them so this really is a win win situation for everyone.

This crop is sponsored by some awesome companies as you can see in the flier below and lots of designers in the industry are hosting challenges and games with great prizes. To sign up for this crop go to cheekychicsscrapbooking.blogspot.com ~ on the upper right side of the site is an Oklahoma Tornado Fund Paypal Button ~ click this button and it will take you to Paypal to make your donation. A minimum $15 donation will get you access to the crop, but please if you can give more it would be greatly appreciated ~ after you make your donation you will be directed to the OK Crop Forum ~ you will need to register ~ then you will get approval in the email account you registered in the forum with ~ you will have full access to everything to play along

I am hosting a Challenge ~ Lisa’s 5 Product Challenge and a Game ~ Crafter’s Scavenger Hunt

In the challenge you need to create an item of your choice… card, tag, layout, mini album, etc. using all 5 products listed below. Take a photo of your finished project, list the products used and post the photo along with the info to my challenge thread in the OK Crop Forum.

Patterned Paper

My daughter Ansley, will pick the winner based on her favorite project. HINT: This girl loves a bright and cheery color scheme. I’ve LOVED grab bags since I was a little girl so I thought it would be fun for the winner of my challenge to receive a grab bag filled with loads of Maya Road products. Now this is no tiny grab bag and the photo you see is just a sneak peek. This grab bag contains a sampling of lots of awesome product like Champagne Butterfly Pins, Yellow and Turquoise Star Pins, Hibiscus Pink Tu-Tu Tulle Trim, Satin Pleat Trim, Velvet Pleats Blossoms, Clementine Orange Twine Cording, Canvas Mini Tags, Canvas Mini Pennant Banner Pieces, Kraft Snowflakes, Kraft Envelopes, Kraft Journaling Tags, Vintage Alterable Chandelier Beads, Vintage Mini Rulers, Skinny Spools, Vintage Wood Birds, Natural Buttons, Rhinestone Trim, Zipper Trim, Soft Vintage Scallop Trim, Small Organza Roses Ribbon and lots more. Part of the excitement of getting a grab bag is you never know what’s inside so the rest will just have to be that… a surprise.

Sneak Peek

The awesome companies listed below were kind enough to sponsor my latest book “Delight In The Art of Collage” which is scheduled for publication in January 2014. So for my Crafter’s Scavenger Hunt Game I’m asking you to dig through your supplies and gather at least one item from as many companies listed, take a photo of all the items together, post the photo as well as the company and product to my game thread in the OK Crop Forum.

ETI EnviroTex Resin
Jenni Bowlin Studio
Laura’s Vintage Garden
Maya Road
Nunn Design
Pink Paislee
Pink Persimmon
Ranger Ink
Studio 490 by Wendy Vecchi ~ Stampers Anonymous
Tim Holtz idea-ology

The person with the most companies listed will win a copy of my new book “Delight In The Art of Collage”. This means you will be one of the very first to have this book. NOTE: This book is still in edit so you will not receive your copy until Jan. 2014. If more than one person features all the companies listed these people will be placed into a drawing and the winner will be randomly picked.

Book 3

I really hope you join me, it’s going to be fun and there are so many families in Oklahoma that need help.
