Jenni Bowlin Studio ~ Thank U Card

Thank U Card

Here is Card 2 of 4 and I must say, I think this card set is one of my favorite sets I’ve ever created. I just love the patterned papers and embellishments on each card. I’m telling you Lisa Dickinson’s Modern Mercantile line she designed for Jenni Bowlin Studio is so super inspiring.

I love to create mini collages as the focal point on all my cards. A collage is not just layering and attaching paper and ephemera to a canvas it can be items of any kind grouped together, which is what I had loads of fun doing with this card. The wooden butterfly, heart pins, milk cap and resin flower make an adorable collage and the “thank u” sentiment works great to balance the collage perfectly. Creating 3D collages are wonderful ways to use up all your left over embellishments too. I keep a fun little stash next to my work table of “only one” items that I love rummaging through. There is just something about digging in the bowl that I love so much. It’s like I’m on a little creative treasure hunt.

And here is the list of products I used to create this card. Jenni Bowlin Studio Modern Mercantile ~ Novelties, Patchwork and Hodge Podge, Doodlebug Design Sugar Coating Glitter ~ Lily White,  one card from the Jenni Bowlin Studio Vintage Mini Deck ~ Lotto, a large Jenni Bowlin True Vintage Milk Cap, a Maya Road Wood Mini Butterfly,  one each of the Maya Road Cream & Red Heart Pins, a Maya Road Velvet Resin Flower, Antique Gold Seam Binding, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Jet Black Archival Ink and the Maya Road Card Sentiment Words Stamp Set.

Supplies Needed for all 4 Cards: Paper Trimmer, Scissors, Scallop Scissors, Glue Stick or Tape Runner, Fabric Adhesive, Paper Distresser, Ink Blending Tool & Foam, Acrylic Block
