Stamp Embossed Clay Charms
Here is a really cool tip… when creating polymer clay charms use chipboard embellishments for templates. This is exactly what I did when creating these adorable dress charms for my nieces. I used the chipboard dress from the Maya Road Laundry Day mini chipboard set to create these two charms. All I did was roll out my polymer clay to the thickness I wanted, placed the mini chipboard dress on top of the clay then using a craft knife carefully cut around the chipboard dress. How simple is that!
And here are a few other cool tips… to get the butterfly image onto the dresses I pressed the Maya Road Ornate Butterflies stamp set into the polymer clay. Stamps are a great way to emboss polymer clay. To add words to each dress I used my ImpressArt metal stamps so remember your metal stamps aren’t just for metal. I used a stylus to create the hole for my jump ring then the dresses were ready for baking.
After I baked the dresses per the manufacturers instructions I covered each one with gesso then painted them using Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers. Once the paint dried I applied Diamond Stickles on top and rubbed it over the dress using my finger.
Hugs!
