A Kiss on the Chic’s Creative Retreat ~ Bellagio Day 3

Sep 30, 2012

September 20th, everyone got up bright and early to ride the ferry from Bellagio to Como to do some site seeing and and of course some much needed shopping.  The ferry ride down to Como was filled with beautiful sites all along to way. Photo 1 was the view of Lake Como from our front door. I loved hearing the church bells chime and watching the sun rise and highlightthe mountains. Photos 2, 3 and 4 were taken at the Ferry landing in Bellagio. It is just a short walk from the hotel and really pretty first thing in the morning. Photos 5, 6 and 7 were taken while riding the ferry down to Como. I’m not kidding when I say every single second you want to take a photo. Photos 8, 9, 10,...

A Kiss on the Chic’s Creative Retreat ~ Bellagio Day 2

Sep 29, 2012

September 19th was day 2 of the retreat for me and Caroline. Classes started at 9:30 and I instantly started photographing the classroom. It was absolutely stunning. The opened windows allowed for a gentle breeze to enter the room as well as the sounds of birds and church bells. The group of ladies who attended this retreat were wonderful, fun and full of joy. It was a true pleasure to get to know each and every one and I hope our paths cross again. Photos 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 show just how amazing the classroom was… well as amazing as I could capture it in a photo. Honestly, these do not do this room justice at all. Seeing it in person is awe inspiring. All the details from floor to ceiling...

A Kiss on the Chic’s Creative Retreat ~ Bellagio

Sep 28, 2012

After an hour and a half of entertainment from our driver from Milan to Bellagio Caroline and I arrived at Laura’s event “A Kiss on the Chic’s Creative Retreat”. Ladies really I know there is going to be a waiting list to attend next summer’s event so as soon as Laura goes live with her Summer 2013 event sign up ASAP! You will be so sad to miss out on her next event. Laura was so organized. She had a yahoo group for those attending her event so we could all be kept up on all the fun details. Make sure you join the group so you don’t miss out on any information she shares. Laura notified everyone when she noticed airfare deals were being offered, shared fun facts about Lake Como, put together...

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

Sep 27, 2012

What an incredible two weeks I’ve had… truly amazing! September 12th, I left for ScrapFest where I taught lots of card and mini album classes and helped keep Emily and Ronda loaded up with supplies for the make & takes they were doing in the Maya Road booth. Caroline and I cut trim after trim after trim and so many paper stars I can’t even think about cutting out stars ever again. I think the one thing I love about working with Maya Road is we may work hard but we also have LOADS of fun at the same time. We all four laughed so much and so hard every single day. I think the best way to tell you about our awesome time is with photos and bullet points. If not, I fear...

Still Here…

Sep 10, 2012

This is my work area due to the results of one insane deadline after another which I have more approaching faster than I care to think about. I LOVE what I do and feel very fortunate to get to do it but right now, in order to keep any amount of sanity I have left, and depending on who you speak with there is a very broad spectrum to my sanity, I must surrender to the fact that I cannot do it all. So for now I will be taking a blog break and hopefully get back on schedule in a few weeks. I am heading to ScrapFest, Wednesday (need to start packing) to help Maya Road with set up for all their awesome make-n-takes, teach some workshops and host an area crop then...

Girls & Boys…

Sep 3, 2012

Oh how I love these little girls and boys in my Antiquated Collection “Sweet Little Girls” and “Knick-Knack Paddywack” stamp sets. Kristii Lockart created these adorable cards and framed art piece you see below. I love how Kristii colors in the stamped images using Copic Markers. Here color combinations are awesome and I think Kristii is super talented. Just look for yourself. This framed art piece Kristii created will look absolutely adorable displayed in any little girls room. I think it would also be great given as a gift at a baby shower. I hope you all are having a wonderful Labor Day weekend spent  with family and friends. I’m off to do a bit of hand stitching....
