Last Sneak Peek of the Sneak Peeks

Jan 19, 2012

As you can see by the sneak peek of this sneak peek I was not kidding when I said I was loving Distress Crackle Clear Rock Candy Paint. I love the look on top of the ad from the Antiquated Collection Perfumery stamp set. And just look at the detail of the perfume bottle and crown, it’s spectacular. Judi at Pink Persimmon did an amazing job cleaning up all the images.

I colored the perfume bottle using Distress Ink Worn Lipstick. All I did was wet a paintbrush with water then applied a small amount of worn lipstick ink on to the paintbrush and used the ink as a watercolor. How simple and it’s the perfect vintage shade of pink. Just make sure you use Archival Ink when you stamp your image. This ink is waterproof. If not when you get the stamped image wet it will bleed.

To age the edges of the vintage ledger paper I inked them using Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. Please note, if you use Distress Inks on a project and want to apply Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint on top of the Distress Ink, make sure you put the Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint on a non-stick craft mat then apply the Crackle Paint to the canvas using a paintbrush. If you don’t and use the Rock Candy Crackle Paint straight out of the bottle the Distress Ink will contaminate the crackle paint changing it to the shade of ink you are using, in this case making it a light brown shade.

And tomorrow is day ONE of Maya Road Sneak Peeks… Finally, I’ll be able to share full images of the projects I created. This release is so inspiring.

Hugs!
