Simple Stories and Maya Road

Dec 5, 2011

I hope you are ready for a fun blog hop this week. Simple Stories and Maya Road will be featuring lots of awesome projects for the holiday season all week using the Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas line and loads of Maya Road products.

Last night, I created a card that reminds me of a holiday scene from the early 1900’s. A lady and gentleman standing in front of their Christmas tree looking out the window as people pass by their home all decorated for the season or maybe watching snowflakes as they gently fall to the ground. Either way it is a magical evening for them both.

The window is attached to the front of the card using foam squares to give it a bit of dimension. I attached the miniature holly garland using a  hot glue gun. The plastic bow at the top of the garland is for a miniature tree. It was gold and I colored it using a Red Shimmer Krylon pen. Each glittered wooden snowflake is accented with a small rhinestone to give the card just a bit more holiday sparkle.

What did you use for the window? Is that Maya Road chipboard?
