Keeping it simple

Yes­ter­day, I received a gift from a friend that had the cutest stamped tag attached. Her tag was so adorable, sim­ple and sweet that I just have to share it. I tend to get lost in the details when I’m cre­at­ing and then end up stress­ing myself out think­ing if I have to make 10 or 15 of these all sewn, glit­tered, altered, etc I will snap. Well, I’m going to do my best to try and keep some things sim­ple, espe­cially things dur­ing the hol­i­days… because sim­ple is adorable and sweet and appre­ci­ated and cher­ished immensely. Thank you sweet friend.

And here is a Santa story for you… it makes me gig­gle and wish I could have seen this lit­tle boy’s face… noth­ing like being busted face to face by all peo­ple… Santa!

So a lit­tle boy around 6 years old fin­ishes his visit with Santa and heads off with his mom. Well, they stop, turn around and look at Santa. Mom then grabs his hand and back to Santa they come. The mom looks at Santa and asks, “Did you promise him a dirt bike?” Santa looks at mom with the lit­tle boy stand­ing right next to her and says, “Lets dis­cuss our con­ver­sa­tion.” I’m sure right about now the lit­tle boy is feel­ing mighty uncom­fort­able with what is about to be discussed.

Noth­ing like get­ting ready to be busted by Santa.

Santa: What would you like for Christ­mas?
Lit­tle Boy: A dirt bike.
Santa: Well Santa has to have Mom and Dad’s per­mis­sion to bring such an item but Santa will do the best he can. That does not sound like a promise to me.
Lit­tle Boy: Drops his head and he and Mom go down the mall hand in hand.
