Keeping it simple

Dec 20, 2011

Yesterday, I received a gift from a friend that had the cutest stamped tag attached. Her tag was so adorable, simple and sweet that I just have to share it. I tend to get lost in the details when I’m creating and then end up stressing myself out thinking if I have to make 10 or 15 of these all sewn, glittered, altered, etc I will snap. Well, I’m going to do my best to try and keep some things simple, especially things during the holidays… because simple is adorable and sweet and appreciated and cherished immensely. Thank you sweet friend.

And here is a Santa story for you… it makes me giggle and wish I could have seen this little boy’s face… nothing like being busted face to face by all people… Santa!

So a little boy around 6 years old finishes his visit with Santa and heads off with his mom. Well, they stop, turn around and look at Santa. Mom then grabs his hand and back to Santa they come. The mom looks at Santa and asks, “Did you promise him a dirt bike?” Santa looks at mom with the little boy standing right next to her and says, “Lets discuss our conversation.” I’m sure right about now the little boy is feeling mighty uncomfortable with what is about to be discussed.

Nothing like getting ready to be busted by Santa.

Santa: What would you like for Christmas?
Little Boy: A dirt bike.
Santa: Well Santa has to have Mom and Dad’s permission to bring such an item but Santa will do the best he can. That does not sound like a promise to me.
Little Boy: Drops his head and he and Mom go down the mall hand in hand.

Joyful Hugs!
