Thrift Store Art

I love thrift store art and get so excited when I find a framed print or water­color, espe­cially if the frame is just a tad bit tat­tered. For me, the more tat­tered and worn the bet­ter. I have a mix matched col­lec­tion of framed prints hang­ing around the house all are dif­fer­ent but all have the same color scheme. As long as I remain in the same color scheme the prints I find always look great hang­ing in any room of our house.

I’ll show you another of my favorites on a later day. I really scored on this one. It is a large framed print by artist Hul­dah Cherry Jeffe and I love it!

    Love the framed prints! Cool to find inter­est­ing things! But the last one of the lit­tle girl strikes a cord in me as that same print hung in my moth­ers home all dur­ing my grow­ing up years! I used to stair at it in our liv­ing room and won­der what she was think­ing! Funny how things can touch us!

    I love going to thrift stores too. Lately…I have been on the hunt for salt and pep­per shakers..ever since you posted that cute idea with the tassles! My grand­daugh­ter has been enjoy­ing them too. I also love to find lit­tle hand painted boxes. I love your blog…can’t wait to get your book!

      Oh Nancy, I am on the hunt for salt and pep­per shak­ers too!!! LOL, I tell ya my poor hus­band never knows what stuff I will bring home from resale shops or flea markets.

    Wow, that pic­ture was in my grandmother’s bed­room when I was a lit­tle girl. I always loved it. When she passed, my mother gave it to me and it’s now in my room. There is just some­thing so spe­cial about that print. Thanks for sharing
