Thrift Store Art

Oct 6, 2011

I love thrift store art and get so excited when I find a framed print or watercolor, especially if the frame is just a tad bit tattered. For me, the more tattered and worn the better. I have a mix matched collection of framed prints hanging around the house all are different but all have the same color scheme. As long as I remain in the same color scheme the prints I find always look great hanging in any room of our house.

I’ll show you another of my favorites on a later day. I really scored on this one. It is a large framed print by artist Huldah Cherry Jeffe and I love it!

Are you a thrift store art collector? If so, what kind of art do you like to collect?

Hugs!

Love the framed prints! Cool to find interesting things! But the last one of the little girl strikes a cord in me as that same print hung in my mothers home all during my growing up years! I used to stair at it in our living room and wonder what she was thinking! Funny how things can touch us!

    Hi Lisa,
I love going to thrift stores too. Lately…I have been on the hunt for salt and pepper shakers..ever since you posted that cute idea with the tassles! My granddaughter has been enjoying them too. I also love to find little hand painted boxes. I love your blog…can’t wait to get your book!

Oh Nancy, I am on the hunt for salt and pepper shakers too!!! LOL, I tell ya my poor husband never knows what stuff I will bring home from resale shops or flea markets.

I’m so glad you and your granddaughter are enjoying my blog. I love sharing bits and pieces of my profession and life.

I cannot wait to see Delight In The Seasons completed. What I have seen so far from the designers and photographers is amazing. I’m so happy.

Wow, that picture was in my grandmother’s bedroom when I was a little girl. I always loved it. When she passed, my mother gave it to me and it’s now in my room. There is just something so special about that print. Thanks for sharing
