Needle Felting.…
I have loved Heidi Boyd and her felted projects since the first day I discovered her… her cute “needle felted nesting bluebirds” project first caught my attention then when I discovered these adorable felted Hedgehogs and Bunnies she posted on her blog, well I was hooked and have been thinking of trying the craft of needle felting everyday since.
So this weekend, Ansley and I had a great time giving this craft a try and we really had fun. After a few painful sticks in the fingers and hours later we completed several small embellishments. I made an acorn and some leaves (want to add stitching for veins with gold embroidery floss) Ansley created a pumpkin, some stars and a flower.
Her friend Matt even joined in and made a candy cane and a Christmas stocking. It was fun watching the Ranger’s game and those two needle felting. They even drove to the store to get different colored wool roving since I didn’t have hip colors.… you know colors like pink, light green and red.
I now have lots of ideas to create unique felted embellishments for class projects and can’t wait to start creating.
Hugs!
