Artist Trading Cards

Sep 7, 2011

I think I’m going to have to title this ATC “Conflicted” as this is where I’m sitting right now in my creative world. This piece started out with a vintage feel as I used the awesome Doily stamp by Cocoa Daisy then before I knew it some of The Crafter’s Workshop stencils started working their way in and BAM I was conflicted in styles and looking at this vintage gorgeousness meets funky brights ATC.

There is a lot of layering going on, on this little ATC. I wish you could see how shimmery this card is as I used Twinkling H2O’s and Diamond Stickles all over. The “ME” stamp can be found here in the Cocoa Daisy Boutique. Christine sold out of her awesome Doily stamp but Maya Road has some Doily Stamps  (Doilies, Doilie Borders, Vintage Doilies) that would look awesome too. The wooden butterfly is an extra embellishment from one of my previous Cocoa Daisy Kits. I think it works perfectly on this ATC piece

I used two stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop on this piece… Rain (6 x 6) and Damask (6x6). As you can see just by these two stencils… I’m conflicted. Damask and Rain drops, never thought I would put these two together and never with bright orange, fuchsia, turquoise and purple.

And these two ATC’s are still in the works but I like how The Crafter’s Workshop “Circle Grid” stencil and the Cocoa Daisy “Coffee and Tea Ring” and “Ink Spot” stamps look. I plan on adding just a little to these each day and look forward to seeing what comes.

Hugs!
