Some Family Fun…

Aug 20, 2011

Hi!

Hope everyone had a great week! So happy to be back here again to share with you some of the new vintage-inspired, Vintage Street Market products. This collection of fun paper dolls is from our Family Fun line, which includes great paper doll die cuts for embellishing, and coordinating 12x12 cardstock. One thing I especially love about our own products is  how well they coordinate with authentic vintage items, which leads me to the first project I’d like to share today…

Remember these ice cream cups from childhood? I remember every day at school during lunch, we would get to choose a flavor of ice cream, and would be given one of these cups and a little wooden spoon. We were all so eager to eat the ice cream the threat of splinters didn’t even occur to us! :)

As these cups are so decorative on their own (love the fonts), I decided to just trim them with silver glass glitter and vintage crepe. The spoons become the perfect stand for the images of the children. I simply cut out the images, glued them to the spoon, and propped them among the candies.

These “sweet” cups, and the coordinating wooden spoons are actually available  in our online “vintage” store, and the Family Fun collection is now shipping to stores. I can see these little treat cups filled with Birthday, Valentine and Christmas goodies as just a little something to give to someone special…

Need some cards to go with your treats? Here’s a variety I put together also using the Vintage Street Market Family Fun Collection-great for a friend, mom and dad.

Who doesn’t love sweet authentic vintage buttons and vintage lace? The combination of the two adds such a homespun quality..

The background of this card was made using Vintage Street Market Dimestore Vogue paper. The sewing pattern is a nice subtle background for the Mother die cut (trimmed in glitter of course-could you even imagine a world without glitter??? ) Do you notice the tape edging? That is our Linen Tinted Tape. It adds such a neat texture, and looks like tape from an old scrapbook!

And, a card for Dad. This one was made using the Distinguished Dad 12x12 cardstock, and the coordinating Father die cut and dad image. I had to restrain myself from adding anything “sparkly” to it! :)

Thank you Lisa again for inviting Vintage Street Market to share on your site-we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Be sure to pop over to Vintage Street to see all of the wonderful projects Lisa has put together this month as our Guest Designer. So much inspiration! You can find it all HERE. And, there’s even more vintagey ideas on our BLOG.

Have a great weekend!!!
