Miniature stand

Apr 29, 2011

Well yesterday was a day of one flight disaster after another so I ended up not being able to attend Ranger U. I am so sad about it but it was out of my hands. I got to the airport, baggage checked in, through security and flight delay #1 came up, then not too longer flight delay #2 came up, not too longer after that flight delay #3 came up and then BAM flight canceled as well as all flights to Newark. I was on the phone, internet and texting trying to figure out a way to get to Newark but it was just not in the cards for me. So here I sit at home waiting for my luggage to return to me and let me just say I’m a true Texas girl at heart… I want my make up, eyelash adhesive and hairspray now! It’s getting serious.

But I am trying to keep this all in perspective and be thankful I am safe and sound in my home as those that suffered the wrath of this storm I know certainly wish they were. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families in need and to those who lost loved ones.

This morning, I decided to make a little something to get me in the mood to start a book project and this little stand is what I made. I love Wedgwood Blue with white and thought I would try to create a faux look on a stand for my flower frogs. I think for the first try it came out pretty cute. I wanted something to place different sized flower frogs on to give them a little height and think this will do just the trick. I will have the tutorial on how I created this posted in my “Tips, Techniques and Tutorials” online workshop in the next few days.

UPDATE: The tutorial has been uploaded to the “Tips, Techniques and Tutorials” online workshop. Enjoy!

Wishing you all a lovely and creative weekend!

Thanks Linda, but I must admit I have been on the verge of tears all day long. Still no luggage…

I have the outlook that we are right where God wants even when bad things (to us they seem bad) happen, and sometimes when that happens and we are somewhere maybe we can help by being an Angel to someone that needs us. I have felt that way several times, did something for a reason I didn’t understand until late after I was able to help someone just because I was there.……

But what a bummer to miss Ranger U!!!!

    Blessings
