Pink Carnations

Feb 9, 2011

This tag uses all four of the new Perfect Pearl colors from Ranger’s new Confections Set. I really like Pink Gumball as I think it is the perfect shade of pink for tinting flowers. And Wendy’s butterfly stamp is the perfect accent to go over sheet music. I love how you can make Perfect Pearls show in a subtle way by dry brushing them on (butterfly image) or mixing them with water or Perfect Pearl Mists on your non-stick craft sheet and applying them with a paint brush like watercolors (pink carnations). I had lots of fun with this tag. As you know or have figured out by now I love making paper flowers and when you add Perfect Pearls and Stickles to that list I am having loads of fun.

Supplies Used: Perfect Medium; Perfect Pearls – Sour Apple, Grape Fizz, Pink Gumball, Blue Raspberry, Sunflower Sparkle; Perfect Pearls Mist -Perfect Pearl; Inkssentials Surfaces Manila Craft Tag – #8; Stickles – Platinum

I’m off to work on book projects and watch the snow fall. It is great creating and looking out the window at all the snowflakes. It really inspires me and at this moment I need LOTS of inspiration. But just 15 more book projects to go and I will be all set for my next deadline in mid-March.

    Hi Lisa,
I just love that gorgeous vintage tag. How ever did you make those little flowers? Looks as if they may be as much fun as the snowflake you showed us a while back. I made a whole blizzard of those!!!!!!!

    • Hi Nancy, the flowers are a technique featured in my book on page 111 so I am not able to post a tutorial on this as I am under contract. I hope you understand.
