I’m home

Feb 3, 2011

It sure did feel great sleeping in my bed last night although I was hanging on for dear life because Chief was hogging my entire side of the bed. I must say the drive was a whole lot of scary getting home. I have never seen so much ice ever in Texas. Ansley has not had school since Monday and will not have school tomorrow either. Tonight and tomorrow morning we are supposed to get snow so no telling what tomorrow will bring in the weather department. Although they say it should get warmer Saturday so the ice should melt. We shall see.

I certainly have enough work to keep me busy for the next month as my step-by-step photo shoot is next month. While at CHA I was happy to get a new sponsor for my book. Vintage Street Market has some really great new products that I cannot wait to start playing with. Also, got to bring home some new products from Jenni Bowlin and Pink Paislee. So tomorrow is the beginning of burying myself in projects big time.

Missing this view from outside my hotel window.

Came home to this… that is about 2.5 inches of ice on the street, sidewalks and our driveway. We couldn’t even get the car back up the driveway and into the garage.

Still so happy I got to meet Suze.

Missing seeing these new jewels and trims by Maya Road everyday… oh goodness are they awesome and so fun to play with… cannot wait to get all of these in my hot little hands.

Alan got this super cool charm bracelet by Betsy Johnson for me for my birthday… I love charm bracelets and when I saw this in LA instantly called Alan and told him I had just found what I thought would make a great happy birthday to me gift from him. He agreed.

And the Maya Road “Roadies” got me after dinner at Maria’s Italian Kitchen on my birthday. As most of you know I do not like to bring attention to myself at all as I am a bit shy (that is unless we are talking about creating then that shy feeling goes out the window) well when they had the waiter come out singing happy birthday to me along with a super wonderful chocolate brownie I really wanted to crawl under the table and hide. It was so sweet of everyone and I am so fortunate to have such great friends.

Now I’m off to wash all the dirty clothes I brought back and try to get my scraproom organized so I can start working tomorrow. I left it a mess from the CHA projects I created for Ranger and Tim Holtz. I will show you these soon. But I will end this post with a photo of the Designer Canvas I created using Ranger’s new Perfect Pearls and Perfect Pearl Mists. The flowers are made using Tim’s Tattered Florals die.
