Noel Tag

Dec 9, 2010

Today, I decided to create a tag using some of my favorite things. It’s fun gathering supplies when all the while you have no clue what it is you’re going to create. I gathered and gathered (Vintage Images, Cream Felt, Maya Road Chipboard Snowflakes, Fine Silver German Glass Glitter, Sisal Trees a.k.a. bottle brush trees, Self Adhesive Pearls, Mica, Diamond & Platinum Stickles, Tiny Alphas and Fiskars Punches) until my work area was filled with inspiring products. In the end this is what I created. It will be a gift tag for someone’s gift this Christmas.

The Fiskars Extra Large Postage Stamp Squeeze Punch is a great punch. I really like the size the punched image creates and if you outline the images with Platinum Stickles and accent them with Diamond Stickles it makes them even better. I am in love with all the Vintage Images Laura has in her etsy store and have been punching and cutting lots of them for tags and cards. I’m sure you have figured out that I have a serious thing for snowflakes and these by Maya Road look awesome covered with Fine Silver German Glass Glitter. I pre-ink them using a Maya Road Metallic Inkpad in Silver.

Miniature Sisal Trees or Bottle Brush Trees are one of my very favorite holiday items to create with and adding Old Fashioned Mica Snowflakes to them makes me really happy. There is nothing like a little Mica to finish off a project. And the Tiny Alphas by Making Memories are prefect to use on a mini banner. I love all the different fonts they provide.

You too should grab some of your favorite supplies and start creating. It’s fun seeing what you create in the end.

That is just beautiful! I love the placement of the snowy bottle trees on the tag–very nice 3D effect. They Maya Road chipboard snowflakes are the greatest! I have several packs myself.

    Thanks for sharing.
