Gift Bow

Dec 17, 2010

The other day Ronda sent me a few photos of some cute containers she created filled with some of her peppermint bark, click here if you want her recipe. Well I noticed she had the cutest gift bows on top of each container so I immediately asked her how she made them. Well she got the idea from Emily who got the idea from a post on Flickr. Oh the tangled web us crafters weave. Emily’s tutorial is super easy to follow and I think you will want to create some for yourself. These bows do not take much paper either so you could mix and match them with your paper scraps.

Supplies Used: The Girls’ Paperier — Tinsel & Twig — Holly Berry Floral, ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink — Creamy Brown, Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue

Tools Needed: Paper Trimmer, Scallop Scissors

I trimmed the sides of each paper strip with scallop scissors then inked the edges using Creamy Brown ink. I do believe I am going to have to accent the scallops with some Diamond or Platinum Stickles and then cover the entire bow with Crystal Coarse Glitter. I just cannot stand not having some bling especially at Christmas as I love how glitter accented packages look underneath our tree when the lights on… so magical.
