2010 in Review…

Dec 31, 2010

2010 sure was a super fast paced year. I have so many wonderful moments and events to reflect upon. I am so grateful for you my blog readers as you are some of the most loyal and uplifting people. I always look forward to your replies and when needed your words of encouragement. I am so grateful I have the opportunity to work with so many wonderful manufacturers in the scrapbooking industry. I am very fortunate to be able to teach at an awesome scrapbook store in Waxahachie, Texas, “The Crafty Scrapper.” Some neat class ideas have been swirling in my head for the new year and I cannot wait to share them with Carolyn. I am leaning heavily towards mixed media right now which is so fun. It’s exciting to explore creatively as you never know what you will design.

Below are some posts I highlighted as I’ve been reflecting on this past year. Looking back it sure has been a great year.

This is still my favorite chili recipe. Those of you in the Northeast might really enjoy this warm meal.

January 23rd I got the best son-in-law, Terri and Laren got married in New Orleans…

This was such an exciting day. I still get chills when I reflect on it…

Still cannot believe she turned 16 and is now looking forward to being 17…

And I really cannot believe she turned 22 and is married…

Had a blast learning how to solder. I have so many ideas in my head right now…

Teaching and creating online workshop. I LOVE teaching and sharing my ideas…

So thankful for being able to take this trip with my parents for so many wonderful reasons. I believe the post explains it all…

Gone but certainly not forgotten

So grateful for being asked to do nightly make-n-takes and mini workshops for Cocoa Daisy Destinations ~ Mykonos, what a week that was, so many wonderful friendships were made…

So happy I was one of the artists asked to teach at  “Artistic Journey”. I hope it becomes an annual event.

So excited to be working on my 2nd book. I love having the opportunity to work with F & W Meida. Every single person I’ve come in contact with has been incredible…

Grateful for being asked to be a Guest Designer for Cocoa Daisy

Making new friends in person and over the internet… rumor has it I will get to meet Karin at CHA-W… can’t WAIT!

Yes, 2010 was a wonderful year. It did have some peaks and valley’s but overall when reflecting back it was a great one. I hope you and your family can reflect back and feel the same.

Wishing you all a wonderful 2011.

And I thought I would share with you a few things dad and I made in his shop while I was visiting. My “Spoon Art” might not be perfect pieces to those who are really advanced in the metal stamping craft but to me these are just as I wanted them and I love the end results. You can bet I will be wearing them often, attached to a funky necklace or chain. I like that Life is not stamped perfectly which I feel is so symbolic. Life certainly has it’s ups and downs both of which I have had many but Art… to me Art is perfect no matter what form it is showcased… if you create it and love it… it is perfect.

Dad and I had fun creating Art this week. I am going to do my best this year to make my life artful… each day find beauty in the day and capture it’s Art! I hope you will do the same.

Wishing You All A Very Happy New Year!

    good morning Lisa,

oh my goodness, girl! your jewelry designs are gorgeous. I’m off to Atlanta for the gift show, and reminded of the $125.00 vintage style earings I purchased last year from an artisan. Wishing you the very, very best in 2011.
