If you are wondering what this title means well it means loads of creative fun as “Winter Magpie” is the name of the December kit at Cocoa Daisy. I am so lucky as I got to play with this kit because I am their December Guest Designer. When Christine asked me I was thrilled. Then as she was telling me about all the wonderful products she incorporated in the kit I felt it was so ME and could not wait to start creating. Her kits are always gorgeous and so inspiring.
Here are the projects I created using this kit… 2 layouts, a card and a gift card holder. I had product left over to create more items but these will be in my book (yes Cocoa Daisy is once again one of my book sponsors) so you are going to have to wait a bit to see these.
Here is the gift card holder I made using the remaining page from the chipboard album. I created it so that the recipient can use it as a keepsake ornament year after year if they would like. I will have a tutorial on how I created it on my blog next week if you would like to make one. Below is a close up of the snowflake rosette. I love how the mica looks on top of the snowflakes.
And here is a Christmas card I created. To create the tree I used a tree die by Sizzix. All I did was cut out three trees, sew them together up the middle, fold each layer upwards, ink the edges, apply Platinum Stickles to the edges and added a strip of self adhesive pearls.
And there ya have it … I told you “Winter Magpie” was full of creative inspiration. I would never kid about a thing like that. Don’t forget about my give away. The deadline to leave your comment is today at midnight. I will announce the winner tomorrow night on Facebook and post the winners name on my blog Wednesday morning.
