What a fun day…

Nov 20, 2010

Today, I taught my “Home for the Holidays” class at The Crafty Scrapper to a super sweet group of ladies. That store is my happy place without a doubt!!! I think it is the best store in the area. Carolyn has the best customers and the best product selection around not to mention the sweetest staff. If you haven’t visited her store you need to… it is worth the drive. You will love it.

See the little sweetie in yellow… it was her 14th birthday. Her grandmother purchased my class as a gift for her. Happy Birthday, Gracie! I hope it was a wonderful day. Wishing you all the best and hope to see you again soon.

Each kit included three different house templates and lots of fun little goodies to use to decorate. Everyone made one house which they got to decide upon from the three templates. Sometimes that got me a bit confused as I had to try to remember which template was which but I like choices and figured my students would too.  It was so fun watching all the houses come together and  I loved seeing how different they all looked once finished. And no surprise here I’m sure… we covered the houses with glitter and the trees with mica so it looked like a little winter wonderland village in the making.

And as my students were leaving I could hear them saying they planned on making more at home. That made me smile.  Below are just a few of the houses I was able to get photos of. So super cute!

And now I need to start preparing my part of the “Winters Wonderland Snowglobe” class I will be co-teaching with Trisha Conlon (Soldering Queen as I call her). We will be teaching this all day workshop on December 3rd & 4th. Lunch is included in the fee AND Trisha has decided you do not need soldering experience. She will gladly show you how to solder during the class.

If this looks like a project you would like to create give Carolyn a call and she will get you signed up. Make sure you look at the supply list for the class. Trisha and I both have a few items and tools you need to bring. And since this project has a winter theme it will be perfect to display all winter long.

Okay, now I am off to start preparing all my book projects for shipment to F & W Media on Monday. So happy to have my first deadline completed. I am so so so excited about this new book. You all are going to love it, I just know it.
