Glittered Rose…
It’s no surprise to you all that I love glitter. So I decided to mix my own and came up with this gorgeous ice/snow mixture. I wanted this silk rose to resemble that of one getting caught in an early frost or slightly icy morning.
To achieve this look I first sprayed the entire rose with Iridescent Maya Mist and let it dry completely. Then using a paintbrush I applied Glossy Collage Pauge Instant Decoupage to the petals tips. While the decoupage was still wet I applied the glitter. I really wish you could see this in person as the sparkly goodness just does not show up as I want in these photos.
And if you would like some of my glitter to accent your own projects I will be selling these adorable vintage glass salt and pepper shakers in my store very soon.

So glad I found you this morning! What beautiful creations–your blog is just delightful! I’m a glitteraholic–is that a word?! Love what yours has done to your rose–just fabulous! I may have to order some of yours when it’s available! I’ll be back often–have a wonderful day!
It looks really frosty! How cool! You can check out my blog if you like, I bestowed a little surprise on you!

Lisa, I love the idea of combining glitters. When I was working on the glittery pumpkin project you posted a few weeks back, I had a hard time finding enough orange glitter to cover my 12 pumpkins. Is it possible to tint glitter? Thanks, Melissa G
