It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown…

October11

Oh how I love this movie… I looked forward to watching it every year as a child and still like watching it as an adult.

GLittered Pumpkin

Not only does this pumpkin look adorable sitting on our coffee table I think it will also be cute as a placecard on our table for Thanksgiving dinner. All I need to do is replace the “Happy Halloween” sentiment with a name.

To recreate this project first paint the plastic pumpkin using orange acrylic paint and the stem (remove the stem for easier handling) with brown acrylic paint, let dry. Apply liquid adhesive to the pumpkin then generously apply orange glitter on top. Apply  liquid adhesive to the stem then generously apply brown glitter on top. Tap off excess. Let Dry. Create the leaves using this tutorial. Wrap the wires of your leaf picks around the pick portion of the stem that goes into the pumpkin. Type your sentiment onto a blank book page margin, attach to 24 gauge wire, accent the edges of your sentiment using Platinum Stickles, wrap around pick and replace the stem into the pumpkin.

Materials Used: Plastic Pumpkin (approx. 4″ in height), Orange and Brown Acrylic Paint, Orange and Brown Glitter, CuttleBug Leaf Set Die, 24 Gauge Wire, Aleene’s Paper Glaze, Elmer’s No Run School Glue, Platinum Stickles, Book Page and Blank Margin from a Book Page
