Here is a super simple leaf pick tutorial. As most of you know I love creating accents for projects out of book pages. While looking around our local Joann Craft Store this weekend I found lots of their Cuttlebug dies on clearance and I was thrilled when I found this leaf set. I plan on making a nice cluster of oak leaves to accent some Thanksgiving projects. But first I had to try out the Maple Leaf.
Supplies Used:
Cuttlebug Die Cutting Machine
Cuttlebug Leaf Set Die
Book Page
24 Gauge Wire
Wire Cutters
Aleene’s Paper Glaze
Stickles – Platinum
Instructions:
Using your Cuttlebug and the Maple Leaf Die, cut two leaves out of a book page
Using Aleene’s Paper Glaze apply adhesive (I like this adhesive as it will not buckle your paper) on the top of one leaf, next place a piece of 24 gauge wire cut to your desired length in the middle of this leaf, now place the second leaf on top sandwiching the wire in between the two leaves.
To finish the leaf pick accent the edges of the Maple leaf using Platinum Stickles. Now you have a perfect custom made embellishment to accent any project.
Enjoy!
