Photo Holder using Sewing Pattern Flower…

I fig­ured I should show you all how I decid­ed to use the Sewing Pat­tern Flower I cre­at­ed last week. This sim­ple pho­to hold­er will soon be sit­ting on a shelf in Ter­ri’s apart­ment hold­ing a pho­to of her and Laren.

Altered Jumbo Clothespin

Sup­plies Need­ed:
Jum­bo Clothes­pin 6″ (The Tree House Stu­dio)
Adiron­dack Metallics Arylic Paint Dab­ber in Gold
DecoArt Crack­ling Medi­um (Weath­ered Wood)
Mak­ing Mem­o­ries Acrylic Paint (Asphalt)
Sewing Pat­tern Flower
Stu­dio 490 Wendy Vec­chi Funky Flower Art Leaf Stamp
Cream Felt
Embroi­dery Floss (DMC 543)
Col­or­Box Flu­id Chalk Ink (Creamy Brown)

Tools Need­ed:
Paint Brush
Sewing Nee­dle
Strong Adhe­sive or Hot Glue Gun


  • Paint the jum­bo clothes­pin front and back using a Gold Adiron­dack Metallics Arylic Paint Dab­ber, let dry
  • Once the paint is dry using a paint­brush cov­er the gold paint with DecoArt Crack­ling Medi­um in Weath­ered Wood, let dry
  • Once the Crack­ling Medi­um is dry using a paint­brush, paint over the crack­ling medi­um on the front and back as well as the sides and inside of the clothes­pin with Black Acrylic Paint, let dry
  • Attach your Sewing Pat­tern Flower and embroi­dered felt leaf to your altered clothes­pin using a strong adhe­sive or hot glue gun
  • Type or print your sen­ti­ment, cut out the words, ink edges using Col­or­Box Fluild Chalk Ink (Creamy Brown), attach to Jum­bo Clothes Pin
  • Clip a pho­to into the top por­tion of your altered clothes­pin
